I ordered this lock for an outside ski locker. The locker gets a fair amount of roof drip and ice buildup. I have been through 2 cheaper combination locks which have either frozen up or eventually (over a few months) rusted and became inoperable. This is a robust, well sealed lock that has easily shrugged off the weather, melting ice, deep freeze and challenging weather conditions. It is quite a chunky lock but I think that supports its quality. It does require an app for setup, painful but worth it for a strong device.
I initially set the lock up in a bit of a rush and didn’t write down passwords and codes as I usually do. When I returned in a few months, my aging memory got the best of me. However, the support I received from the manufacturer was excellent and the lock was up and running again in a reasonable amount of time!
This is an excellent lock, operates well, battery life has been good so far even in below freezing temps. It is pricey, so you could probably go through a number of cheaper locks for the cost of this one. I am very pleased with the quality however and this lock has survived where others failed dismally.
