    Overall, (and for the price) its a great way to hear your electrics during hours you can't plug in. One major flaw is the voume wheel, I can only get it to about 60-75% before the hissing is too much. Its not my guitars, tried a handful. Even with 0 gain, you can't crank it. If you roll off your guitar vol, and keep it below the hiss threshold.. its has a sweet tone.

    One of the best purchases I've made in a long time! I use this almost everyday. I figured out the right volume and gain settings, with reasonable headphones it sounds fantastic. I can play songs or the metronome from my phone through this thing and play along without bothering other people in the house. The battery doesn't need to be charged too often either.

    I was super excited to get this for my son. He plays base and guitar. We purchased a brand new pair of head phones so he could play when ever he wanted in his room and not interrupt the rest of the house. Within the month the head phone connection was skipping, to just not working. We have used the head phones since and that's not the problem. I am super disappointed as we thought this was an awesome idea, and it would have been if it worked.

    I have a wife and baby who don't often appreciate my late night jam sessions. Hence, the need for an alternative solution.

    This unit does the trick for me. It is simple enough to use with 3 knobs--volume, tone, and gain. There is also a surprisingly good chorusy reverb switch, which is an extra bonus for me.

    So far it seems to have a long battery life. I've been jamming over the last couple days and the LEDs do not indicate that it has lost any juice. It feels well put together too, something you don't always get in this price range.

    For something slightly larger than a stick of gum, you are going to get a good usable tone, but not the sound of a Mesa Boogie or AC30. As with any headphone amp, you need to be realistic with your expectations of tone.

    That being said, I am very pleased with the clean tone, and the chorus/reverb is good quality. The gain is not quite heavy enough for metal, but well suited to classic rock.

    I truly do like this headphone amp, and I am glad I bought it.

    Ho preso il Sonicake mini amp per il mio basso, devo dire che molto comodo e pratico, inoltre se lo si usa come faccio io con delle cuffie chiuse di buona qualit che hanno anche il controllo volume integrato, si pu agire sul volume sia dal miniamp che dalle cuffie.
    Non capisco quelli che si lamentano del fruscio, a parte che il fruscio c' solo quando non si sta suonando, ma mentre si suona e con le basi sparate nelle orecchie il fruscio sparisce. Probabilmente chi si lamenta usa degli auricolari cinesi da pochi eruo.
    Inoltre da un prodotto che costa meno di 30 euro non si pu pretendere la qualit delle attrezzature dal costo elevato, nella confezione oltre ad un cavetto usb e ad un cavo aux, c' anche un comodo split per le cuffie, nel caso si volesse fare sentire quello che si sta suonando ad un'altra persona.
    Lo ritengo davvero un prodotto comodo e pratico.
