The SOG Specialty Knives & Tools F10N-CP Folding Saw combines ease of use and ease of carry in this functional and practical survival tool. Made of high carbon steel with an attractive black powder coat finish, the 8.25-inch blade has extra-sharp, differentially tempered teeth to make quick work of sawing branches, small logs and brush. The ergonomically contoured and well-balanced handle has a black finish and is made of high carbon steel with a soft grip TRP to fit comfortably in your hand. There's a lanyard hole on the base of the handle to carry on your belt during expeditions and hunting trips. A black nylon sheath is included with a hook and loop closure and belt loop to keep the Folding Saw safely protected and close to you at all times. The F10N-CP has an overall length of 17.25-inches and a weight of 5.9-ounces. The SOG Specialty Knives & Tools F10N-CP Folding Saw comes with a limited lifetime warranty that protects against defects in manufacturing and materials. Each SOG product is created with the help of company founder and chief engineer, Spencer Frazer. Known for their uncompromising style and performance, these knives and tools showcase innovation, dependability and a unique, futuristic style that has garnered awards and recognition worldwide. A saw is an essential piece of survival equipment. The longer the saw, the easier to use, but the harder to carry. We achieved a nice balance between the two. The SOG Folding Saw has a 7.5-Inch blade of hardened and tempered steel that makes short order of branches, small logs, and brush. A comfortable handle helps to cut deep and true on each and every pull stroke. The extremely sharp teeth are differentially tempered for long life and work on green as well as hard wood.

    It's o.k. It will saw branches up to 1 1/2 inches thick, anything thicker and it binds...badly. The blade has a bit more give in it than I like, bends too easily. The mechanism for locking/releasing the blade is a little awkward to release and a little too easy to accidentally unlock while sawing.
    Because of the brand name I expected a little better quality even though I did not pay top dollar for it. The little pruning saw that I had purchased years ago through Lee Valley Tools was definitely superior.

    Cuts good. This is a nice sized saw that folds into a small enough item to put in my emergency backpack. The nylon case seems adequate and has a secondary pocket for extra blades. The only thing I noticed is that I have a tendency to hold the saw up high on the handle and a few times I accidentally pressed the orange button that locks and unlocks it. This caused the blade to go backwards until I locked it in place. I was disappointed that it didn't have a black safety lock as pictured and came with a bright orange one. Someone wanting to stay hidden might not like that. The orange is very visible.
