About this item

  • Greatly Reduce the Burden: The sling handle kit is specially designed for DJI RS 2/RS 3/RS 3 Pro/RS 4/RS 4 Pro. After opening the tripod at the bottom of the stabilizer, when shooting in a fixed position, there is almost no need to exert force on the arms; when not shooting, release your hands and place the stabilizer in front or on the side of the body like a shoulder bag. Allows you to quickly switch between shooting and resting states, reducing physical exertion during video creation.
  • QD Quick Release Mount: Both ends of the shoulder strap have QD mount that can be quickly installed and removed. The shoulder strap also has two sliding buckles for you to quickly adjust the length of the shoulder strap and switch shooting positions and postures at any time.
  • 6KG Maximum Load-Bearing Capacity: The maximum load-bearing capacity of the sling handle is 6kg. Using thickened weaving process, the shoulder strap forms a triangular structure by the waist, abdomen and shoulder to effectively bear gravity instead of the arms and provide your creations with safe and reliable support.
  • Multiple Expansion Interfaces: The handle has multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 for ARRI threaded holes, which can be connected to Magic Arm 2070B and Monitor Support 2903B to expand the monitor. Cold shoes are built in the top and side of the handle. There is a slider on the side to install Monitor Support 3026B, microphone, image transmission and other equipment.
  • Ergonomic Design: The handle is made of aluminum alloy + silicone and adopts an ergonomic curve grip, which is comfortable to hold, anti-slip and anti-freeze. The overall design style is consistent with the stabilizer.

    This is the second on I got and it broke in first use. Nothing happened while I was filming. But at the time of dismounting it, the metal balls that locks the strap into the base of the gimbal simply fell off.

    It happened in the second use when I used the first one. I did return, bought another one. Used it again and even being extremely cautious when disassembling it, the connector broke again.

    It does the job, but it seems that it’s one time only. Cuz without this lock, the strap is useless

    I actually just came back from a shoot a couple of hours ago, and this thing was a life saver. I’ll start with the pro’s and what I like about the sling and handle, and then I’ll get to the con’s.

    Pros: Easy to use. Strap seems pretty strong. Handle feels ergonomic and comfy. Saved my wrists and arms (back hurts a bit though haha)

    Cons: Handle is shorter than the one that comes with my RS4 Pro. Most importantly (so the rig doesn’t fall apart), the base that screws in at the bottom to connect the strap (before the mini tripod stand), almost completely unscrewed itself 2-3 times during the day. I noticed it happening due to the wobble it had when my gimbal was sitting on the ground. I really wish there was a more full proof way to secure it where it doesn’t do this, but I guess it’s something I either have to deal with, or get sent another (not defective) base attachment for the sling (wink wink Smallrig).

    Overall it performs well, but I’d love to see Small Rig revisit the one screw approach and somehow secure it to the base of the gimbal better then it does currently.

    If there is a fix to this, or if Smallrig is able to resolve my problem, then I’ll update my rating. Love everything else that I’ve bought from smallrig, but I think I have a lemon this time…

    I was super pumped to get this handle and strap for my RS4. I have tons of SmallRig products and have never been disappointed but this one just doesn’t cut it. The handle is very comfortable, the strap is amazing and really helps on long full day shoots so I don’t have to keep holding up my rig the whole time. However, SmallRig decided to make the support arm shorter than the factory arm from DJI. This means that if you like the handle in a more upright position your hand will hit the gimbal arm. I like to shoot a lot of the time with the gimbal close to my chest while holding the handle. Because the SmallRig handle has to be at a more extreme angle it’s not comfortable for my wrist when holding it that way. Also since they made the mechanism to attach it to the arm different from the DJI you can’t remove the handle and attach it to the original arm. It’s unfortunate because the handle is very comfortable and I’d love to use it. I’ll probably just return it and buy the strap to attach to the factory arm instead. The arm also doesn’t feel as sturdy. I really had to crank it down super tight to keep it from shifting on the mounting point on the gimbal. Never had this issue with the factory arm. For reference I am using the RS4 Pro.

    The strap setup is incredible so far. I wish I got it years ago. I didn't even plan on using it but it's awesome to have free hands when carrying the gimbal all day. Way better on your back and arms too. As long as it holds of course, I highly reccomend.
