Not Obstruct Screen

The camera mounts onto the cage via a front lens ring clamp that securely holds the camera.

The bottom of the cage is tapped with six 1/4"-20 mounting threads to connect a camera plate for tripod mounting.

A perfect fit with the Sony RX100 vii. We have small hands and it is not too difficult to reach the bottons.
I think it is a must with the Sony, as the body is very small and it may be dropped easily without a proper grip. Too, the Smallrig offers many way to connect other things like microphones, etc.

Excellent frame placement for easy shutter pressing and easy finger access. Uurig messed it up badly and I had returned that one. Also love the fact that this has multiple holes on bottom for dripping tripod mount or adapter further from door for easy battery swapping.

This cage fits the Sony RX100VII perfectly. It doesn’t obstruct the bottom speaker, and you can access the battery and SD card compartment without needing to remove the cage. Everything remains fully accessible while mounted, including the pop-up flash and electronic viewfinder. The only minor drawback is that it slightly obscures the top half of the P-A-S-M mode dial, but it’s still usable and doesn’t affect functionality.

The included wooden side handle not only looks great but also adds a much-needed grip to this compact camera. it's removable if you prefer a sleeker profile. Overall, this is a well-designed and good-looking cage that enhances both handling and usability without getting in the way. Highly recommended for any RX100 VII owner looking to upgrade their setup.

This camera cage was extremely practical. It is made with great quality, the metal cage really makes me feel secure with it holding my camera. The grip is great for using this camera as its traditional point and shoot, but I purchased it because I wanted to vlog with this camera. It had 2 different mounts for receivers or other clip on devices, and many different holes to screw other accessories on. I was able to screw my tripod onto the cage, and I still had 3 other holes where I could attach a shotgun mic or even a ring light. I had access to all of the cameras functionalities, but depending on where you put your clip accessories, or if you are using both clip attachments, it can be hard to change from different modes like Manual, Auto, video, portrait etc. Other than that, this cage is phenomenal AND fits in my camera pouch!!!
