About this item

Anti-Deflection Double Lock Design: One end is designed with 1/4"-20 screw and telescopic pin, knurled hand screw, can be manually tightened, and a wrench reinforcement hole is reserved, which can be tightened twice with a wrench. In addition, the ball head can be adjusted 360 degrees according to needs, which is flexible and can be directly installed with sports cameras, monitors, fill lights, microphones and other accessories.
Compatibility: With anti-deflection holes, it can effectively prevent equipment deflection and ensure shooting safety. It can be adapted for GoPro expansion frame 3084C, for Insta360 X4 expansion frame 4278, for DJI Action 5 Pro/4 expansion frame 4119C.
Steady as a Rock: The crab claw clamp has a horseshoe block design, which can flexibly adjust the contact surface. - This is a magic arm that, like many, simply works:
- It's small.
- It locks securely.
- It has generous movement to position devices as needed (within the specifications of reach and weight, of course).
- The unit also folds up compactly for transport/ storage.
- The fit and finish is excellent, as expected of the brand!
- The clamp grips a variety of shapes (tables/ shelves/ posts/ tubing).
- The anti-twist pins hold SmallRig accessories securely.

Smallrigs are the go-to for these articulated camera arms and this model 5312 is once of the very well crafted ones. It has a nice solid weight to it and the arm are really strong and rigid once locked in.
What's super nice is the crafting of the thread to lock the camera and the main clamp which is really nicely machines. It has extra threads and pivoting metal end clips that have rubber feet. Overall another well made Smallrig product with well implemented features

Smallrigs are the go-to for these articulated camera arms and this model 5312 is once of the very well crafted ones. It has a nice solid weight to it and the arm are really strong and rigid once locked in.
What's super nice is the crafting of the thread to lock the camera and the main clamp which is really nicely machines. It has extra threads and pivoting metal end clips that have rubber feet. Overall another well made Smallrig product with well implemented features

Die Klemme mit Arm ist vollausgestreckt 33 cm lang. Die Verarbeitung ist robust und solide, größtenteils Metall, Kunststoff nur bei der Klemme, um nichts zu verkratzen. Die Klemme erlaubt eine Öffnung auf fast 5 cm, sie lässt sich so sowohl an Bretter oder Platten bis 5 cm Dicke befestigen, wie auch an Rohre mit bis zu 4 cm Durchmesser. Das Mittelgelenk des Armes ist gezahnt, mit der Feststellschraube zieht man den kompletten Arm fest. Dies funktioniert bestens und ist extrem fest. Ich kenne und habe andere Klemmarme, die einen weniger guten Job machen, eindeutig. An der Schraubenseite ist ein Riffelrad, mit welchem sich die Schraube gut drehen lässt, dazu sind Öffnungen vorhanden, um mittels Inbusschlüssel oder ähnlichem Werkzeug die Verschraubung noch fester zu ziehen. Der ganze Arm wiegt 380 Gramm. Auf jeden Fall auch für strapaziöseren Einsatz geeignet, wie zum Beispiel bei einer Fahrt mit dem Fahrrad oder dem Auto. Achtung: immer alles gut sichern! Die Lieferung im nachhaltigen Karton verdient auch einen Pluspunkt. Empfehlenswert!

The machining and fit/finish on this are fantastic. The clamp on the magic arm allows you to adjust between different diameters and even flat (non circular) surfaces like railings, desks, the back of chair, as well as a variety of circular options like pipes, dowels, and other circular items.

The magic arm doesn't move once tightened down and can easily support a half a pound or so. This allows me to mount my monitor to my tripod. It allows me to mount my flash receiver to a light stand. It also allows me to mount my DJI OSMO Pocket 3 camera onto nearly anything.

If you want to get unique camera angle or mount accessories onto something that itself isn't a treaded mount then this is the move

These arms are much better than their old arms because this one is directly attached to the clamp whereas the old version was just the arm screwed into the clamp. So the arms could be twisted off if you load it the wrong way. This gives me more confidence when using these clamps and I'd much rather have these than the older version. Quality is still great as ever when compared to other brands. I feel that they have a little more thought about the ergonomics of their products. One last thing to note is the clamp has flat sides so you can clamp to a table or a door and spread out the load better. This also makes it more sturdy too.
