    It's 12 inches in diameter, solid cast iron and useful. I would say it's a lot easier to use than a rolling pin with the plastic wrap sticking and tangling while trying to roll out the dough manually. Well, now you know why I wanted this tortilla press!

    I have been making homemade tortillas for a long time now, and was so excited for this tortillas press.

    Unfortunately, the press is unable to make the tortillas thin enough, it makes a small, thick tortilla.

    As you can see from the photo, using the same amount of dough, my hand rolled tortillas (on the left) are much larger than the ones from the press. The tortilla should be nearly translucent, incredibly thin when you go to cook it, and the press was unable to do that.

    If you used more dough, I'm sure you could make up the size, but you would still have a very thick tortilla and it wouldn't be as cost effective.

    The press itself is very heavy, sturdy, and large. And if you like thicker tortillas then this would be great for you!

    Unfortunately, I don't believe this press will work for me and I will have to return it.
