Was this product wound by hand, by a drunk person? Possibly. The tension on the spool was so uneven that it bunched and knotted on my machine every time I tried to use it from the spool. I can't believe I spent this much on thread that I will now have to wind around bobbins to be able to use.

    I use it to top-stitch my quilts. The thread shows up and the pattern is obvious, whereas plain thread disappears into the fabric and all your careful patterns don't show. I don't shorten jeans anymore, for my husband and the boys, I'm really anxious about cutting one leg with a 30" length and the other leg a 23" length. It's happened and I've learned my lesson. However, you can rely on Güterman thread. I don't buy any other brand. It doesn't matter which gauge you buy, it doesn't get caught up in the machine. It doesn't break very easily, and doesn't knot up.
