Up until I tried this I used Silk Soy for coffee and every other day would mix half of that with half Silk Almond Coffee creamer in Hazelnut or another flavor.

However much I love the soy version I have thyroid issues and was recently told I should reduce or remove soy from my diet.

I began trying alternatives such as using just the Silk Almond for a coffee alone but it only comes in flavored version which I find too sweet on their own and almond milk froths like crazy in my heated frother so it ends up with all foam and no liquid left.

After months of spending a lot of money on various alternatives ibcluding some other “barista” versions from other brands only to find out I didn’t like them, I saw this pop up on my �鶹�� so I decided to go for it and give it a try.

I am SO happy to say that this Oat Barista version has worked out wonderfully when I mix it in a 2:1 ratio with the Silk Almond for coffee flavors.

I have two frothers that I go between - the Nespresso heated frother and a heated frother I got off �鶹�� that is larger and also works amazingly.

I always choose the heated frothing option because I like my coffee piping hot so heated is the only way to go for me.

The Silk Barista Oat creamer froths perfectly while still leaving some liquid left to pour into the coffee itself while leaving a lot of foam to sit on top and hold my dusting of cinnamon (sooo delicious I’m craving a coffee while I write this lol.)

The oat creamer on its own is creamy tasting and I guess “oat-y” but it’s good and the texture is exactly what I want. It’s not watery or super thin. Comparing this to the Soy on its own I would still prefer the taste of the Soy Silk but sinceI can’t drink that anymore this is a great and very close alternative.

Once I cut the Batista Oat creamer with the Silk Almond for coffee Hazlnut flavored creamer it is absolutely great and my coffee is no longer sad (ok, I was the sad one but I felt like my coffee was sad when I couldn’t have Silk Soy anymore.)

So I can honestly say I am converted and will be using this from now on as my go-to base creamer for my coffee. I highly recommend this!! ☕️❤️

Pros: this definitely does what it says and froths super easily. I didn’t even need to heat it up to have it froth with my hand held frother making it super convenient to use and a great option for mornings. It is also vegan, lactose free and gluten free.

Things to consider:

Price point is HIGH. To be fair you don’t need a ton per drink but it hits about $6-$7 a carton which for me surpasses what I currently pay. I’d say especially because you are buying bulk it would be nice to have a subscribe and save or something to bring the price down closer to $5 a carton.

Taste wise for me it tastes like a more watered down oat milk than I’m used to. It definitely gives a lot of foam but not a lot of creamy thickness. This might be a personal preference thing on my behalf.

Because I couldn’t find the nutritional info on the listing I’ve also included that for your use.

All in all I am not a vegan so this might be the best vegan option out there for frothable milk. Personally I am a vegetarian who is lactose intolerant so I consume a variety of lactose free and vegan dairy alternatives and this wouldn’t be my favourite.
