I got back into grilling and picked up a basic charcoal kettle. I should have picked up this rolling grill basket instead of grabbing the first thing at the hardware store I found, a fold up clamshell affair that presented many problems that this modular system solves. An attached handle made it impossible to seal the lid on my grill; worse, the handle prevented laying the basket flat on the grill, so the temperature wasn't even. The connected handle made it too unwieldy to soak and wash ... you get the idea.
That this basket's handle detaches adds the functionality of being able to roll this basket to tumble vegetables to grill more evenly without burning. The baskets unfold and nest inside each other making them easier to soak in soapy water and take up less space in the dishwasher, next to the detachable handle. I expect these baskets to last at least as long as my grill.
