Product description

Extremely versatile and flexible, DIG's 1/4 inch Micro Drip Line presents key advantages over other irrigation methods, utilizing low cost, small diameter drip line that can be used in any part of the garden for a water-efficient drip irrigation system. The micro drip line's cylindrical labyrinth-like drip emitters are built into the interior wall of the 1/4" micro tubing at 6 inch, 9 inch, or 12 inch spacing. The micro drip line can be installed in a wide range of above ground application layouts, or used under mulch or bark to conserve water or for aesthetic reasons. The drip line is designed to be extended from the drip tubing or micro tubing using a 1/4 inch barb, or attached into DIG's four- or six- outlet drip manifolds. The drip line can be used in planter boxes, vegetable gardens, window boxes, box gardens, looped around individual plants or tree, in narrow paths of planting area, or where total saturation is desired along the drip line path, while eliminating discoloration of fences, windows, and walls due to water staining.

Very happy with the quality of this dripline.
It replaced a 2 year old one, also from 鶹 but a different brand that was failing in several areas.
This one allows for easier connection of the various fittings and elbows while still being watertight.
Will update at the of the season. But so far, the quality outshines my previous dripline

Our experience with porous drip line is that it clogs up after a season or so. This drip line continues to work over several seasons. In ten years I haven't had any clog up yet.

I have been using for a tree ring to water my fruit and nut trees. Seems to be better than spraying during our current drought as no water is blown away by the wind.

The tube is tough to insert into the connecter. I have used 90C hot water but it is still difficult to work with. I got a good result by using a heat gun. I also purchased and installed Rain Bird's 1/4" emitter tube, which is a bit softer and earlier to work. Overall, this DIG's emitter tube quality is pretty good.

The emitters are not well-matched with each other so some give out much more water than others, but as an overall soaker hose for rows of vegetables it is satisfactory.

Pretty solid build quality but also somewhat flexible. Been out in the sun for about 6 months and doesn't show signs of UV damage. Pretty solid product with good water flow.

This Dripline tubing at a 1/4" with 6" spacing is perfect for placing around small tree trunks such as my Limelight Hydrangea and other small flower plants in my garden. The beauty of this type of emitter is you can make several circles around the plant if it needs lots of water like hydrangeas or you can make them small to fit under a Coleus plant with a small stem. 100' sounds like a lot but you'd be surprised how fast it can be used in your garden.

So I bought a house with 4 sprinkler circuits / valves. 2 were for grass, 2 for plants and shrubs. Those latter 2 I wanted converted to drip because ... well, lots of reasons.

I knew nothing about sprinklers. I grew up where we used rain, and it all intimidated me. So instead of replacing a valve with a drip pressure regulating one, I tried Orbit's 4 and 8 port conversion manifolds that screw onto the 1/2 inch risers. I think I like the 8 port better because you can individually control each line.

Anyhow, I tried all combinations of different drippers on the lines for rainbird, orbit, etc. Those things about the size of a nickel that attach to the 1/4 inch tubing, and you can buy for 1gph, 2gph etc. They don't work because air would get in the system and lock the flow. I could purge the air out at the manifolds, and then get a drip drip drip, but it would just stop again a later day until I purged again. And some manifolds would work, then not, and others worked.

So I donated all those nickel sized drippers and tried this. Omg. Life had color again and my depression lifted after months of fiddling around. Within a few seconds any air that got into the system is pushed out of the line and the drip just works. If I want double the flow, I just coil a bit more of this line around the plant and/or turn up the valve on the manifold.

My system is about 80 psi from the city, with those typical rainbird 3/4 inch valves at my main manifold that run off a timer. 1/2 inch pvc buried around the yard off of that. Then 1/2 inch risers every 6 feet where I had spray heads. Replaced the spray heads with Orbit 4 or 8 port drip conversion manifolds to 1/4 inch line. Use barbed connectors to this DIG line. Then a barbed goog plug at the end. Didn't try any DIG conversion manifolds, if they even make them?

By more then you think you will need cause the lines have to be close together 5” spacing works great for my veggies, I found that if you circle tomatoes plants (and blueberries) 3 times they will get enough water with a timer set for about an hour definitely saves on the water bill
