The First Alert SC9120LBLA hardwired combination ionization smoke and carbon monoxide alarm with 10 year sealed battery backup delivers both smoke and carbon monoxide detection in a single unit. This 120-Volt AC smoke detector uses an ionization smoke sensor to reliably detect smoke from hot, fast-flaming fires. It also features an advanced electrochemical sensor that detects carbon monoxide leaks from multiple sources such as faulty fuel-burning appliances and blocked chimneys. If a threat is detected, the alarm sounds a loud siren that helps alert you to Danger. Designed to be hardwired directly into the electrical system of your home or facility, this combination alarms also features a 10 year sealed battery backup that never needs replacing for the life of the alarm. A universal mounting bracket makes installation easy and helps hide drywall cutouts, while tamper-resistant locking pins keep the alarm secure. And thanks to the convenient test/silence button, you can easily check whether the alarm is functioning properly and mute false alarms. This smoke and carbon monoxide alarm can integrate with up to 12 other First Alert or BRK hardwired alarms and features a latching indicator that identifies which unit triggered the alarm. Ideal for coverage of larger areas, the SC9120LBLA smoke and co combination alarms can help you protect your entire home or facility from carbon monoxide leaks and fires.

Got a return product....
Beware of getting used smoke and co alarm. Mine was used with someone else writing on the back. Also it is missing a pull tab for activating the new battery. It work so I didn't bother to return it. I just feel upset for paying full price for a new one and got a used product.

    Early indications are the product seem reliable and not overly sensitive (it doen't trigger in a room with a woodbuner). the communication between alarms works. The green CO light is useless and only visible if you stand directly under the alarm and stare up into a tiny hole. What makes me most unhappy is the misrepresentation in the ad regarding adapter cables indicated by text and photo - there are not any, just the basis power cable. Others mention this so I am not just unlucky. it is an enduring falsehood and I would not by any further product as a matter of principle. You will have to hardwire this yourself unless replacing a similar model.
