Reliable 100W USB-C "PD" Charge, Sturdy long cable, USB 2.0-speed data-transfer works over cable.
This is a GOOD item (100W USB-C PD compliant charger, WORKS, cable is data-friendly) 😎 Of course it's glossy white, so it resembles Apple products, but obviously it is not official Apple. However that may be a blessing, because while it does work well on Apple stuff, it seems to also follow the USB-C standard perfectly, and so it works well with many many other devices too! MOST importantly, this high-wattage charger *does* give out power according to the "PD" ("Power Delivery") protocol voltage negotiation over data line! This charger fully powered my finicky vintage laptops with their dongles, which I know are asking for 20V power over PD, AND, my native-USB-C Android phone also got "Charging rapidly..." energy. I was also able to charge a simpler "dumb" device (which uses lower voltage) with its USB-C port with no problem. Now the cable itself has a nice strong tightly-woven nylon coat/shielding, much nicer than some rubbery/gummy cables floating around. This feels like high quality (If the charge block ever failed, this is a cable I would want to keep instead of throw away). DATA WORKS -- I tried the cable between my Android phone and my MacBook and was able to transfer data! (Listing says 480mbps?? So maybe it's USB 2.0 over USB-C, so VIDEO SIGNAL MAY NOT WORK, but the listing does not promise video signal so that's okay.) Charging performance and cross-compatibility is very high. Data performance is good enough. (Probably no video over this cable). YES it fulfills the promises given in the product listing description, so five stars.

    I bought this charger hoping it would be a reliable replacement for my MacBook, but it turned out to be extremely unsafe. Within just a short time of use, the charger started overheating to the point where it was too hot to touch. This is a serious fire hazard and makes me very concerned about using it at all.

    A charger should be safe and dependable, especially for an expensive device like a MacBook, but this one fails completely. I cannot recommend it to anyone. Please be cautious; this product is dangerous and should not be sold.
