    Manufacturer's insufficient packaging caused the plastic fan to yield to the pressure caused by the weight of the motor, resulting in a warped fan. This produced a wobble in the rotation at low velocity during start-up and turn-off, resulting in loud scraping as the fan came into contact with the metal of the enclosure. I'm going to give it a few days to see if the warp will work itself out, or the fan is going back.
    Update: After I posted this review, I was quickly contacted by the product's supplier and they saw to it that I received a replacement unit. Happy to report that the new unit is now installed and working flawlessly! Thanks very much to the supplier for taking the initiative to solve the problems with the initial unit!!! I highly recommend them.

    It fits my Brian Nutone model 162 ceiling fan with slight adjustments, not difficult to make. So far it’s working perfectly. My old motor assembly was the original motor with this ceiling fan that lasted more than 20 years. Let’s hope this replacement motor will last as well. This replacement motor is a great help, I hate to go up to the attic to do a swap out and replacement of the entire fan.

    Just a word of caution there is a similar looking motor from a 80's era fan that these will not fit. One can use the motor and install that on the original bracket with the original blower wheel. Other than that these are great for newer Broan cans.
