Zinsser really needs to address how this sprays out of the can. It spurts, and splatters. No nice mist of a spray from this can. Totally useless.

    I finished a mudroom entry way closet. Project went well but I had to utilize caulking for the one gap I had. Pretty sure I used paintable caulking but regardless the paint was running away on it. Seen reviews on how to paint over it and tried this and it did the job. I gave minus one star for the price and the cap wouldn’t come off and had to bust it off. Otherwise it worked great.

    I always use shellac based primers on difficult applications. There just no comparison with latex primers, even so -called stain blocker primer. It just works better. That said, there is some downside to it, primarily odor. I wouldn't use it for walls or ceilings unless I had severe staining ,especially nicotine. This particular version in a spray can I only use on my detailed wood window pane trim which sees moisture and is in tough condition. It's wildly overpriced, so I'm selective using it instead of buying a quart can.
