- Reviewed in Canada on September 19, 2024Verified PurchaseIt really needs polished, glossy surface to make a mirror on it. Big no on acrylic.
- Reviewed in Canada on December 18, 2017Verified PurchaseBUY THIS ONE ! NOT the Krylon "Looking Glass". This is the superior product. Had a lot of trouble with the 2 cans of Krylon "Looking Glass" product (poor nozzle sprayer dripped on the finish!) whereas this product sprayed smooth and evenly. Be sure to work with it outside - fumes are strong and overspray can do damage to anything else in the spray area.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 9, 2022Verified PurchaseI was using this product to turn plexiglass into a mirror. While it doesn't say that it can be used on plexiglass, many on the Internet say that it can and it does say both glass and acrylic glass on the side of the can. I cleaned the plexiglass using a variety of techniques. I tried Windex and I also tried dish soap and water to clean off any fingerprint oil or anything else that might have been on the plexiglass. As the can says, I waited until the surface was dry and made sure that there was no dust or anything on it. I tried one area using small bursts and trying to apply a thin coat and another area trying thicker coats. As the can said, I waited one minute between coats, even longer the second time. The end result was something that kind of looked like an "old" mirror, those ones that were made centuries ago and didn't reflect very well. I tried placing a black surface behind it to see if that would help and it did a bit, but I was still unimpressed. I tried looking at Internet videos, thinking, okay, I've probably done something wrong, but it seems others have the same problem. One thing I never got down is the consistency of applying the paint. Any blotches show through, no matter how many coats. The other thing is the fumes. I did it inside, but with the door wide open and the fans on and honestly, it is overpowering and lingering. I wish it worked, I tried, but it just wasn't what I was looking for.
