The classic action-RPG and life-simulation gameplay beloved by Rune Factory fans across the globe is boldly reimagined in Guardians of Azuma. This all-new adventure takes place in the never-before-seen eastern country of Azuma where you will assume the Earth Dancer powers and fight against the corruption spreading throughout Azuma to bring hope back to this once-prosperous land. Choose from one of two protagonists whose destinies are intertwined by mysterious forces. Use sacred treasures to fight against the Blight’s many forms to restore the people, and even gods, to their natural glory. Take farming further, rebuilding entire villages and cultivating new allies and resources along the way. Explore seasonal-themed villages heavily inspired by traditional Japanese culture, each with brand-new festivals and revamped fan-favorites, as well as charming romance candidates.

I love that this game is fully on the game card and isn’t just a download key card like most of the other third party games on Switch 2. I also love that this is an actually new game instead of just a port of something that came to PlayStation several years ago.
As far as the gameplay goes, it has fun combat and I enjoyed the town building aspects of the game as well as the relationships. The farming is not as important in this game as other Rune Factory or Story of Seasons games and I think that is a plus, I can play many other games if I wanted more farming.
The graphics are pleasing although obviously not the main focus of the game. Anyone expecting a Rune Factory game to have cutting edge graphics should probably look elsewhere.
If you want a solid action RPG with town building, relationships, and some farming then definitely give this a try.
I loved the revamp they did with the series. I just wish there was more content after the end credits. I like that farming is much easier and they switched it to sort of a tycoon.

Very fun! Feels like RF redeemed itself with this after the major issues RF5 had. Only issue in this game is two of the hot moms can't be wife's, but there's still lots of quality characters to bond with. Game runs amazing on switch2, 0 loading or fps issues!
Great game! Different from the previous five entries in the series but it is a spinoff so that’s to be expected. The combat is good the story is great and the characters are the best.
5.0 out of 5 starsGreat Game, can’t wait for future titles

This is a fun and soothing combination of Animal Crossing and your tradition JRPG like Shin Megami Tensei. I am really excited this was a launch game for switch two, even if it is a relaunch.
