It's cute lil Novella about a princess who just wants to be a normal girl only to find her prince charming. Only thing missing is a bit of amnesia from hitting her head and we'd have a Hallmark movie

    Princess Ilaria wants to go incognito for a couple of days and has her assistant pretend to be her, as they look alike. She leaves the hotel and faints in the stairwell. She wakes up in a stranger's room. They go about town site seeing and have an attraction, but both have secrets.

    When he finds out her secret, he gets angry and leaves. During a ball she spots Callum and he walks towards her. He apologizes, makes an attempt at groveling, and wants to continue. She accepts and kisses.

    It was an interesting story of how you find someone and have an instant connection. I recommend listening to this story.

    For all the girls who grew up watching Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper, you'll enjoy this one. It gives off very similar vibes, as Princess Ilaria trades places with her lookalike PR assistant to spend an ordinary weekend in Rome. As with most of the others, this is the first time I have read this author, even though I have quite a few of her books.

    Sariah does a really great job at describing things in this book , as at some points you can feel as if you were in Rome yourself. However, I will say that I was quite surprised to see a third act breakup considering this was a short story (71 pages).

    The author's note at the end of this book reveals that Sariah actually has a whole series involving the royal family that is included in this one! So, if you enjoyed this one, I would recommend checking it out.

    Okay, normally I am not that interested in reading about royalty in contemporary world (whereas, fantasy and paranormal is a different story) .... but, I actually liked that this was different from the others in the Improbable meet-cute collection.

    The story and the pacing was quite engaging. Their interactions were sweet. Although, I wish it had the magical, soulmate type feel to their connection. But, they're cute nonetheless and I had fun.
