This kit is similar in setup to the other Rolife kits I have. It's a combination of punch-out pressboard pieces, loose wooden pieces, and three dimensional pieces made of plastic, resin, vinyl, metal, etc. Most of the kit assembles like a book nook, where the pieces notch together, but some glue/tape is required in certain places. The coloring is already on the pieces, with good paint coverage and clear graphics. Some of the beads are small, but none of the kit seems too tiny. There's also a couple pages of boxes and labels for the candies. I think this brand has some of the best laid out instructions -- very simplified with realistic images of the parts and exactly how they all interlock. This one is 38 pages in full color, with a separate parts inventory sheet. Included are tweezers, a screwdriver, bit of sandpaper, and double-sided tape, but you must provide glue, scissors/cutter, and 2 AAA batteries for the lights. This is a fun scene build that is enjoyable alone or as a team project, and I recommend it for ages 12 and over to complete on their own. Maybe around 8 years if part of a team effort.
