The R169X3 is a 6”x9” 3-way full-range speaker rated at 65 watts RMS for a new generation of factory replacement speakers. Kit includes integrated high-pass crossovers and mounting hardware.

The speakers offer Rockford Fosgate sound quality at a fantastic value. Perfect for replacing factory speakers, they feature polypropylene cones and a silk dome pole mounted Piezo tweeter and midrange. Includes grilles so they look as good as they sound.

Decent quality for the price, however wouldn't fit my 1999 honda prelude without significant modification to my the speaker mounting plate itself which I wasn't willing to do. the modification is required because the cutout in the plastic around the mounting holes is much much smaller than your average 6×9 speaker which didn't allow for the 8mm socket to tighten the bolts all the way down leaving a rattle. There is little to no low end, however mids and highs are crystal clear due to it being a 3 way coaxial unit.

I bought these for my 2022 WRX, without the HK audio. The speakers sound great even though I am running them off the stock head unit. They have great clarity in the highs and mids, however these do lack a deep bass sound. For $100 dollars this pair is amazing, and will be a perfect upgrade for most people. If you want to shake your car these are probably not the speakers for you, but if you're looking for a quality upgrade these are perfect.

Now, the install difficulty will depend on your car, and your general skills. I found an amazing video on youtube for the install on my car and would recommend anyone else do the same. My install for the driver door and passenger door took about 45 minutes total. It can definitly be faster, but I took my time. For my car I needed to buy a few other things in order for these to fit without modifying my car. I had to buy a harness that connects to my car and connects to the spade connectors on the speakers. By doing this I didnt have to splice anything which is a plus for me on a new car. I also bought a mounting bracket that fits perfectly into my car and hold the speakers right where they need to be. If you are thinking about buying this I would reccommend that you do your research for the install on your car, but in terms of the speakers these are perfect.
