    All I ask of DVD collections is that the packaging be as simple as possible (to avoid ramping up the cost when all I really want is to play the DVDs) and for the packaging design to be safe for the DVDs themselves, so that when you go to get a DVD out or put it back, you are not in danger of damaging it or the other DVDs in the collection. It is surprising how many distributors get this very wrong. This distributor got it just right. Phew! I have not started watching these DVDs yet, but if I start to watch them and find they are deficient in any way, I will come back and edit this review accordingly. Since that tends not to be a problem with new DVDs, I will go ahead and post this review on the assumption that the discs themselves play fine. The price seems to go up and down quite a bit for this splendid 1970's show, but I caught them on a good day when they were extremely reasonably priced. Great value for the money.

    I never saw this series years ago when it first aired, so seeing the episodes now is like seeing a "new" series. Enjoying immensely.?

    James Garner was perfect in this role, I can't picture any other actor being better. Great guest stars.

    Stuart Margolin as Angel was FABULOUS and of course the oh so loveable and talented Noah Berry as Jimmy's dad was perfect too. I like to think those three fine actors were pals in real life, they worked so well together on this show.

    Love the stories that are intriguing but not (usually) overly gory.

    For the most part, this is family friendly viewing.

    The bad guys DO get it, in the end which imo is how it should be on a detective show.

    Love the trip back in time....
    The cars, sights and sounds of LA, the iconic Santa Monica pier is often featured. Too bad Jimmy could never find the time to paint that trailer though , it's pretty rough even for that era. I'm surprised that his California coastal neighbors in Malibu were not complaining!!!? THAT was far fetched.

    Picture and sound quality are really good.

    One of the best tv theme songs ever (after some tweaking early on). Love the answering machine intro too.

    One star off for the cheap cardboard packaging. This is no way to economize but seems to be something that a lot of companies do with these kinds of sets. ? I'd gladly pay a few $$$s more for a hard shell case that lasts.

    Overall this is $$$well spent for hours of entertainment.

    I always liked this show and now its great being able to watch part or full episodes in order when I have the time. The box is much smaller than I expected compared to other complete series I own. The discs are in paper sleeves that may possibly scratch with repeated use if not careful. The video quality is good and well worth the money if you liked Rockford

    Worth every penny! The picture quality is excellent - much better than I was expecting from a TV show of this age. It is clearly legit and NOT from a dodgy or unlicensed source.
    Each disc is in a little cardboard sleeve, which reduces shelf space and plastic.
    The show itself, what can I say? Its the best and goes right next to Barney Miller on the favourites to watch again and again.
    Thank goodness James Garner & the production companies didnt give in to network pressure and remove the element of sardonic humour from the series. Jim Rockfords cant win for losing PI and refusal to take himself too seriously along with his clients often dodgy bona fides keep the series lively and interesting.
    Definitely check out the episodes with Tom Sellecks perfectly perfect character! Youll hate him, too!

E' stato il rivedere gli episodi su Rete 4 che mi ha convinta ad acquistare la serie completa poiche' il registrare tutti gli episodi farebbe perdere tempo inutilmente ed anche soldi. Contentissima dell'acquisto, che consiglio vivamente a tutti coloro che a mano I bei gialli e.... la California!
