This replacement CB power cord is made of 16-gauge heavy-duty copper wire and has heavy-duty strain reliefs. It can be used to replace power cords on most CB radio and has a built-in fused cigarette lighter plug with a green LED indicator and finger grip. the dual spring contacts provide for maximum conductivity. It is important to check proper polarity (+/-) before connecting. 2 wire, 2-Pin plug and 12-volt plug.

I purchased this unit to feed my 10 m striker. It was very quickly evident that this cable and connector was insufficiently sized to supply. The current required for this. Radio blew the fuse out almost immediately. I use this power cord mainly for testing units. I would never use it to supply power to something like a striker CB as it would not be able to handle the current for any duration.

    If it is popping out it's probably because your socket is too shallow & its a short cigarette type socket.

    I used this in my cars 12v outlet , to my surprise my radio started smoking like crazy , it's toast now. They put a 6 Amp fuse in the plug and CB radios can only handle 2 amps so make sure to check your plugs fuse before using...
