- Reviewed in Canada on February 6, 2026Verified PurchaseI absolutely love this doorbell camera. Yes you need a subscription to get all the benefits of the app but it’s so worth it. The install was super easy and only takes about 15 minutes from start to finish. The video is clear and crisp and you can set how sensitive the movement it captures.
- Reviewed in Canada on May 25, 2023Verified PurchaseThe Ring Doorbell is an absolute game-changer for home security and convenience. Its sleek design adds a touch of modern elegance to any front door, while its functionality surpasses expectations. One of the standout features is its seamless integration with the wiring of any existing doorbell. This means that installation is a breeze and can be completed in less than 10 minutes.
Once installed, the Ring Doorbell delivers on its promise of clear image and sound. The high-resolution camera captures every detail with impressive clarity, allowing you to see and identify visitors or suspicious activity with ease. Whether it's a delivery person dropping off a package or an unexpected visitor, you'll have a crystal-clear view of who's at your doorstep.
But what truly sets the Ring Doorbell apart is its convenience. With the Ring app installed on your smartphone, you can monitor and interact with people at your door even when you're not home. This is incredibly handy for receiving deliveries, as you can provide instructions or even unlock the door remotely. It's also a great security feature, as you can communicate with anyone at the door, giving the impression that you're present even when you're away.
The Ring Doorbell has transformed the way I manage deliveries and interact with visitors. Its sleek design seamlessly blends with my home's aesthetic, and the easy installation process was a pleasant surprise. The image and sound quality are exceptional, ensuring that I never miss a beat. Plus, the convenience of remote communication and access control gives me peace of mind wherever I am.
If you're looking to enhance your home's security and make your life more convenient, I highly recommend the Ring Doorbell. It's a fantastic investment that offers top-notch functionality and delivers on its promises."

- Reviewed in Canada on February 24, 2022Verified PurchaseOriginal review below. After leaving the 1 star review I was reached out by Ring support pretty quickly to work on the issue. We did a device factory reset and upon start up this time I was getting a white flashing bottom half circle light. This indicates that there is not enough power being delivered to the device. I rebooted a few times. As my transformer is from a doorbell kit, it is not stamped on it what the volt-ampere that goes out. I tested the ACv coming out at the door and it was 16.9v. However they still suggested I changed the transformer. So I did. When I did, I got a mix of the same issue along with different issue that the device was in a continual reboot cycle.
I have another separate back door doorbell on its own transformer, so I plugged in the RING device right at the that transformer and it worked fine.
I then plugged in the RING device right at the new transformer I put in, it worked fine. I them plugged it in right at the door bell, same reboot loop issue.
So it seems like the issue resides in the wiring between the transformer and the doorbell, probably a nail or screw that may have hit it. Not sure yet. While I know where the issue lies, I have to figure out the easiest way to work around it. I'd like to avoid running a new cable. Luckily the wiring I used from the transformer to the doorbell is a 3 wire, so I will try different combination there. My original transformer also has 16v AND 24v output (3 post). So I may put the 24v for one RING device and the 16v for another, my other RING device has a battery, so if the power delivered is a little below recommended, it will still work. Worse case scenario, I will find a way to put in the new transformer in the closet next to where my doorbell is bypassing the cable between my existing transformer and the doorbell completely.
Once I get the product going, I may flip it to 5 stars. Right now the only reason I knocked off 1 star is because I was unable to reach out directly to RING support via my purchase on 鶹 and had to resort to a 1 star review to get them to ping me.
Original review:
I have another RING doorbell for my front door. This one is for my 'side door'.
Setup was easy, easier than the first one since all the Wifi info was imported. Initial install worked after a couple of resets. It got online and working.
A few days later, stopped working. It was just a spinning blue light. I only got to looking at it a couple of weeks later. A couple of resets, the app saw it and it was working... for about an hour or so. Again, spinning blue light.
I suspected bad Wifi signal, but I tested other devices and they all have max wifi signal when in proximity of where the doorbell is. It working fine for a few days initially also confirms signal is not an issue.
I would like to get this replaced since I suspect the unit is defective. However I am having an impossible time finding out how to reach the seller. Maybe this 1 star rating will get them to reach out to me?
