    Rio!!!! My gosh I didn’t think he could get any better! This was such a sweet, emotional, heart-wrenching and heart-warming read. It really hit all the feels, I just couldn’t get enough!

    I have been anxiously awaiting Rio’s story since book 1. He was an easy character to fall in love with and this book just made you love even more. It was worth the wait, so that happy he got the HEA he always wanted.

    Rio and Hallie are adorable and perfect together. They bring out the best in one another, complete each other and have such a fun and sweet relationship. The banter, the familiarity and comfort is evident and I honestly smiled so much at all the little things that made them THEM. It was a bit of a slow burn, but when the spice hits-these two have a great connection.

    Six years without seeing or speaking to each other, spending the time hurt and angry did nothing stopped the feelings from still being there. They have this pull between them-all the attraction and love that was once there came rushing back to the forefront when they unexpectedly reenter each others lives.

    I loved Hallie. She was a wonderful character-strong determined, caring and so full of life. I loved how she stood her ground with her feelings. Watching her easily find a place within this group was amazing.
    I can’t say enough good thing about Rio! He had so much love to give; for his friends, his mom, and for Hallie-he did a great job showing her he never stopped thinking about her.

    I really enjoyed the flashback chapters-it was so cute seeing their relationship develop over the years and gain insight into what drove them apart. I couldn’t wait for everything to come out.

    It’s bittersweet that this is the final book in the series, but it was fantastic catching up with the other couples. Seeing their strong bond and how they created their own little family was beautiful.

    Highly recommend this book if you are looking for a second-chance romance.

    Rio's book was worth the wait!

    I know a lot of us fans of the Windy City series were eagerly awaiting his book, and it did not disappoint! What a beautiful, bittersweet end to an incredible series!

    As usual, Liz Tomforde's writing was top tier, and made me feel all the feels.

    I love childhood friends to lovers, especially when we see them in the past, growing up together and growing to love each other!

    I loved Hallie and Rio, and I was rooting for them from the beginning! I also loved seeing the other couples from the previous books, all in love and supportive of one another! This friend group is just so wholesome and adorable!

    Now, I think second chance romance is one of the hardest trope to get right. I have to admit, it bothered me a little that the reason they broke up, and didn't speak for 6 years, could have been cleared up with a conversation, maybe once emotions weren't so high all around. (My personnal opinion, don't come for me)

    Overall, I recommend this book and this entire series if you love sports romance!

    I’m feeling very sad to say goodbye to the Windy City gang, but this book left me with a sense of happiness because Rio and Hallie’s story was… emotional, impactful, and so so wonderful.

    This was a second chance romance done perfectly. I couldn’t put this book down - the love was flowing through the damn pages. There were so many moments that tied together from their past to present that literally made me swoon.

    Honestly, it was so nice to get to know Rio in a whole new eye, especially with the way he acts in the previous books. He was always a character that was just so loveable and getting his story just provided more to his character and really wrapped this series up wonderfully.

    Wow! This story took me on an emotional rollercoaster in the best way. Rio and his love went through so much as a young couple—it was raw, heartbreaking, and beautiful. Life and circumstances tore them apart for six long years, but even time couldn’t dull the love they had for each other. It was always there, always real. They were meant to be.

    Their young love was full of hidden moments and the kind of sweet, personal traditions that just melt your heart. I adored them as a young couple—there was something so pure and genuine about the way they loved. But as adults? They were even more incredible. The growth, the sacrifices, the way they constantly showed up for each other—it was everything.

    And finally, Rio. I’m beyond happy he got his happily ever after, just like all of his friends. He deserved it. They both did. This book was the perfect mix of second chances, healing, and timeless love.

    The fifth book in the Windy City Series! This book in my opinion was the best of all five. Rio is such an absolute sweetheart. And to get the see him fall in love with Hallie from the very beginning is as such a privilege. This whole series has always had my heart but now I don’t think there’s any other series that can top it. Hallie is great character. Everything she does in life is to help make everyone else’s life easier and better despite her own happiness. She’s a strong person who fights for everything she dreams of. Being apart from Rio for six years didn’t kill the love she felt for him. And Rio was already one character I loved from the previous books but to actually know his story and just how much he loved Hallie all these years was amazing. Everything he did was for her even not together. From the house he bought to his New Jersey number it is all intertwined with his love for her. I rate this book 5 stars. Only because 6 stars isn’t a doable rating. The whole series is an absolute top tier 5 star read.

    I’m absolutely SOBBING rn because one of my favourite series ever has come to an end. And what a perfect ending it was. It’s a bittersweet feeling because I’m glad to finally have Rio’s story in my hands, but in disbelief that this is the end. This is the type of book where you want to savour every moment, every word and every interaction. There’s always that one side character that everyone is dying to get a story about, and in this series that’s Rio. Everyone’s been rooting for him from the very beginning, and I loved learning more about his past, not just with Hallie but his family as well. The book is written in dual timeline, and we get to see these two characters fill in love twice; once when they were young and again when they reconnect. Hallie and Rio had so much from there past that they needed to hash out, and I loved the pacing and progression of the story, they didn’t let the other just brush over the issues. I loved how music and songs tied into this story, the novel is literally for hopeless romantics everywhere.

    And the found family. I love these couples and the family they’ve created with each other. Found family is a favourite trope of mine and it’s done SO WELL in this series, it’s literally the finest it’s ever been done. I loved reading about the family dinners, and you could tell everyone was so excited for Rio to find his love. I cried reading the epilogue, I get emotional just thinking about it, and it was such a perfect ending to an amazing series. I’m welcoming the reading slump because I never want to forget these characters. Im gonna have to ‘Rewind it back’ to the beginning and re read this series.

    If you haven’t picked this series up yet what are you even doing?? This series is life changing in the best way possible.

    What a way to end the series! I’ve ADORED this series since the first book, and every love story that followed was an EASY 5-star rating for me. The cast of characters, the playfulness, the chemistry…. it all combines into something truly stunning and addictive. As a second chance romance hater, I was very worried that this would be the book that broke that streak, but it was executed in a way that was angsty, swoony perfection. You could feel the deep love between these characters, and the flashbacks reinforced just how much history they have together. The tension was palpable, and the hard-fought HEA was well worth the wait. It’s not the story that I would’ve predicted for our hopeless romantic hero, but it was an immensely compelling, bingeworthy read. I loved it!

    The story follows Rio, the last single guy in his friend group. Rio wants to believe that love is out there waiting for him, but secretly suspects that he already met - and lost - the love of his life. So when she moves into the house next door, it’s a shock to the system. Rio and Hallie once had the kind of love that could last forever, but they haven’t spoken since the fight that tore them apart. Now filled with heartache and resentment towards each other, the two must navigate the complexity of getting to know each other again without the past getting in the way.

    Like many other readers, I’ve been a big fan of Rio since we met him, and I admit that I expected something totally different for his book. He’s been desperate to find love and has a sweet teddy bear personality, so I was kind of shocked by the man we meet in this story. Once I wrapped my head around the differences, it made a whole lot of sense to me. Rio is terrified that he’s already lost the love of his life, and seeing Hallie again only reinforces that. They understand each other on a deep level, despite the fact that they haven’t seen each other in years. The angst and tension had my eyes glued to the page, and then there would be a tender moment that flayed my heart wide open. I loved the little swoony pieces that showed how much they’d been thinking of each other, and I LOVED that they were truly each other’s one and only. My heart broke for the time they’d lost, but mended itself back together piece by piece as they found their way back together. It’s a powerful, engaging story that made me feel ALL of the emotions, and another stellar read from Tomforde.

    Audio note: Highly, highly recommended in the format! Not only is it duet-style narration, but both narrators did a fantastic job. The performances allow you to feel the emotion, and it had me absolutely hooked. I’m not super familiar with Megan Wicks, but her voice was incredibly easy to listen to. Connor Crais is quickly becoming a new favorite of mine, with a voice that’s gruff and tender in all the right ways. At 13-14 hours, this was a full-day binge and then some, but I was impatient to get back to the story every time I was forced to set it down. The spice gets pretty smokin’ later on, but you could probably listen to the earlier chapters at the office. Overall, I’m very glad I got to experience the story in this format.

    'Rewind it Back' was amazing and I LOVE Rio & Hallie with my whole heart !

    Their story was cute, fun, emotional and also a bit hot !
    This book is second chance romance at its finest, the dual timeline and POVs were perfect.

    I was head over heels for Rio, fell in love with Hallie, and definitely enjoyed reading their story; it had everything I wanted and more.

    I don't wanna spoil it too much, but these two where meant to be from the beginning and just the fact they both waited years for each other when they where supposed to hate one another was enough for me to love them even more haha

    So many moments had me kicking my feet and giggling like a little girl, and Rio was definitely a good surprise when it comes to 🌶️🤭

    I also loved the full circle moments with all the other MCs from the series and I couldn't have dreamt a better ending to these 5 amazing books. It really is the best found family 🥹

    RiB was an obvious 5 stars for me, just like the other books in the series !

    Liz did it again with this one, it's absolutely incredible !
