Where to use it ?

Applications include RO system, beverage dispensing, refrigerator ice maker, coffee machine,aquaponic fish tank etc.Float valves are simple to install and can save a lot of water from ending up on the floor. They can be installed in containers as small 1 gallon pails, sumps, and 200 plus gallon commercial storage containers to shut off the flow of water. Even if you do not have a large storage container a simple 5 gallon bucket with a float valve installed in it will help save money from having water end up on the floor or best case scenario just going down the drain. Also you can convert any coffee or espresso machine to automatic refill

How to use it ?

Installation is as easy as drilling a small hole in the container, sliding the float in and attaching using the included nut. and then pop in your 1/4" tubing into 90 degree 1/4 tube fitting , pushing until it won't go in. To remove, just push in the outer circle on either end and pull right out. You need to make sure the tubing is cut squared to insure no leaks.

Wondered how to install this as it didn’t come with instructions. Since my fridge has so many lines and most of them are controlled by pumps it wouldn’t have worked to plug this to my fridge since water would have poured only according to the water demand from the fridge. So I used this $10 or so 1/2 pex valve to 1/4 OD designed to connect a water line to the fridge and it worked perfectly. To drill a hole on my Keurig plastic cover I used a step drill bit, same as electricians use to drill into electrical boxes. Now water is filling contentiously in as soon as a coffee is served !

    I took out the hinges and drill a new hole in the float holder to shorten its span. But else then that, works great. Drilled a hole in the esspresso water tank on top and fitted the elbow. Connected to a water dispenser. It comes with a shut off valve that enables cleaning the tank once in a while or for check up. Really great and easy to install.

    I thought it wouldn't work but it works very well if the float is adjusted properly. Used it on my kurig duo through the reservoir lid no problem. Saved a bunch of money instead of buying a stupid kit - which none were apparently compatible with the duo. It is cheap plastic but you don't need anything more. The tube is 1/4" od and works with the sharkbite 1/2 to 1/2 to 1/4 tube if plumbing nto 1/2 inch copper or pex.
    Glad it comes with a shutoff too for if I leave the house for extended amounts of time I can feel a little better knowing there is a safety in place.

    The float valve works fine. Luckily, that was all I really needed: despite several attempts with different fittings, I could not get them to connect without leaks! The instruction diagram do NOT show that you need to put the small blue lock rings in after pushing the tubing in, but according to other online resources, that is needed. However, it seems that the cut must ALSO be exactly 90° to avoid leaking. If you need the fittings, I recommends finding a seller that includes a suitable tube cutter as well.
