Product description
Revell 05699 Black Pearl Model Kit, 1:72 Scale, 50 cm, Multi-Color. Revell has been entertaining, inspiring, and educating model builders for over 70 years. Revell brand is a testament to the popularity of detailed plastic model kits that are affordably priced. Launched in 1943, Revell initially produced a wide range of products, including train sets, scale buildings and “action pull toys” recreating some of America’s most popular automobiles. However, the brand found its niche with a line of fast-building “Highway Pioneers” plastic model car kits in the early 1950s. After their success, Revell focused exclusively on making models that were as authentic as they were enjoyable. Most recently we are introducing our newest line, Revell Junior Kit, which allows children as young as age 5 to assemble and dis-assemble for hours of creative play. Revell manufactures model kits suitable for all ages. We are proud to carry on the tradition of accuracy and provide a challenging, and enjoyable pastime for all model hobby enthusiasts.

This one was mighty tedious, especially assembling the 20+ cannons 😅😩 but then again what model kit isn’t right lol? Super proud the way it turned it out! 🏴☠️ Also added a candlelight led to really give it the pirate atmosphere! 😋

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome
Verified PurchaseThis kit is awesome! It is definitely not for beginners but I didn't think it was too difficult either if you have some basic crafting skills. I've done 2 other revell kits and it definitely helped knowing roughly how they go together.
I'm still finishing the rigging but the details on the kit are great! I just had to get this kit as I love pirates of the Caribbean and I've not been disappointed. Thoroughly enjoyed doing it, it's taken me about 4 and a half months. I highly recommend this kit.
It was also very useful to see others finished pictures in the other reviews! A really enjoyable project.

5.0 out of 5 stars Auténtico nivel 5. Gran maqueta.
Verified PurchaseThe media could not be loaded.
- Colores utilizados: Negro, marrón oscuro, Bronce metalizado, Oro metalizado, Hojalata metalizado, Verde Khaki, Gris metalizado, Negro Wash, Óxido claro. Cianocrilato el más rápido que tengas. Thinner (diluyente de pintura).
Suerte y que la disfrutes construyéndola.

5.0 out of 5 stars Modello elegante rifinito è leggermente impegnativo
Infine complessivamente molto soddisfatto

5.0 out of 5 stars maquette

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally finished it!
Verified PurchaseThis is a great model that will test your patience at times but defo worth the effort. I spent 3 months working on it (had the occasional week off to relax after it pushed the limits of my frustration! The main ship build isn't too bad, but the rigging is the fiddliest thing ever! Need child sized hands and the steadiness of a brain surgeon to be able to do a lot of bits without breaking everything near what you're working on.
Tips for anyone who undertakes this project is the following :
1) Ignore the string measurement when the instructions tell you how long to cut it, there is so much spare you can double it and still have some left over at the end, plus this makes it easier when trying to thread through the maze of string!
2) invest in some tweezers and small bonsai scissors, this makes it much easier to get into the gaps to trim stuff down.
3) it is very tricky keeping tension in the string when tying it so a tiny dab of super glue instantly bonds it and allows you to tie the knot after.
Good luck to anyone who makes this model :D
