This is a portion control plate, for those complaining that the partitions are low. The partitions are low so that the portions are small, yet the plate is large enough so that it *looks* like you have a lot of beans in that partition even though it's just two tablespoons.
The plates clean well in the dishwasher, though you may have trouble fitting them in the racks in some dishwashers. They are a nice sturdy ceramic that thus far has been durable and has not stained. The plates are also relatively large so you don't feel like a little kid eating at the kid's table when you're using them.
Because they're china you don't want to take them on a picnic or drop them on the kitchen floor or anything like that. They are also a bit bulky compared to flat plates. But they are quite well suited for everyday use. 100% recommended and I give five stars to very few products.
