Purchase options and add-ons
• Selected by the Independent Publisher's Book Awards as one of the top two New Age books of the year.
• Explores ancient prophesies and their relevance in the contemporary world.
The Incan and Mayan cultures saw themselves as “children of light”--descended from celestial realms--and their prophecies foretell a time of great spiritual awakening. They prophesied a time when the gateways to higher consciousness would open once again. That time is now.
Award-winning author Judith Bluestone Polich draws on her extensive research in quantum physics, archeoastronomy, holography, cosmology, and pioneering studies of human consciousness to show how science and contemporary thought are consistent with this ancient knowledge. As the ancients predicted, the human god-seed is beginning to awaken, and modern civilization is finally beginning to perceive human potential in ways that the ancient cultures accepted as truth. Polich introduces techniques for awakening our own human potential through dreaming, meditations, and the power of sacred sites.

- Reviewed in Canada on November 6, 2001Hi. This book is required reading if you're considering a trip to Peru, Mexico, or are currently on your own mystical cosmic voyage. There are so many wonderful bits of information and it really helped me understand a lot about things that had happened in my life during and after trips to Peru, Greece, Mexico, and other power spots. If you're inquisitive and steadfastly "on the Path", then this should be in your hands. Five stars. To the author: Please write more books, Judith! Thank you for bringing forth this incredible book. - Reviewed in Canada on February 24, 2000鶹 CustomerThis book reads like a mystery story. The plot thickens as the author reveals the connections between the prophecies. She takes you step by step toward the conclusion that brings you to the title of the book itself. I found this to be a very hopeful and inspiring book. Both the author's revelation of her own experiences and the examination of the prophecies left me feeling energized. This is a book with a positive vision for the human race.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 23, 2002The author believes that we are of a higher consciousness and order, she also believes that matter is light frozen in form. The author links the Biblical Elohim with ancient gods that are dedicated to help humanity evolve. ''Possible''. This is a short but interesting book on ancient knowledge. Worth a look at.
- Reviewed in Canada on December 15, 1999Polich provides a well thought-out and well-researched appraisal of how the Mesoamerican cultures were able to alter their states of consciousness, and tune in to other dimensions, using the sacred sites of their cultures. Relying on the newly defined quantum physics and the old myths as examples, Polich shares her own experiences and those of the sacred myths as a stepping stone to awakening the sight within each of us. There is not much in this book that is breaking information but the information itself is organized well and brings many different theories together to give one vision of the coming paradigm and consciousness shifts. Recommended reading for those who would like a comprehensive view of the Mayan mysteries in a nutshell.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Children of the Light are Returning
Verified PurchaseA great read and view into the life of the ancient Andean people. You'll get a view of what life was like then. How the Incas believe they came to Earth from the stars through energy gates. You will get a view of what they believe is ahead for human kind. You will also understand what was meant by the Mayan calendar. It did not mean the end of time, but the end of an age and the beginning of a new age. I found the parts about how human DNA is actually coded to respond to a particular heightened vibrational level. At that point all of human kind will begin an evolution. You'll enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars DEEPLY MEANINGFUL AND HELPFUL
Verified PurchaseI had purchased the book months before I finally took it off my bookcase to read it. A few pages into the book I wished I had read it two years ago! From the preface pages, I could not put it down. Half of it is now covered with yellow highlighter and my handwritten notes. I went to the Yucatan in 2005 and it took me until reading this book to understand that I am not alone in what I experienced at ancient Mayan sites. The author's gift in writing this book is that I now have a framework for processing and integrating what happened to me. The children of Light are real, and yes, we are returning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very interesting book
Verified PurchaseThe book was exactly what I expected it to be and therefore I liked it. I especially liked how historical facts were weaved into a story of the old times. I also liked how it presented some references to the previous civilization as well as introduced some new ideas about what pyramids might be built for. Overall I liked it. I also suggest reading it with an open mind.
