A great movie to watch. Even though the motion capture in the film was a bit decent compared to this year, it's still fun to view. I can recommend it, even if you have little experience with the Resident Evil lore.

I am a big fan of the original games and personally thought the live-action ones were very poorly done. RE: Degeneration is much better than those but for those with high expectations it will fall short.

In terms of CGI the movie is good to look at. It reminds me of the cut scenes in the games, which is a good thing. The characters, despite being based on Claire and Leon, look very different from the original. According to the inteviews with the producers they tried to make the movie accommodating for non-gamers too, but I wouldn't imagine someone who haven't played Resident Evil to be satisfied after watching this.

Fans will probably enjoy the movie with two of the most popular characters in the RE franchise making a comeback. The movie overall has a sleek design, quite comparable to FF: Advent Children. It also has some hilarious special features which are actually worth watching. But if Resident Evil is a relatively new concept to you or if you don't enjoy watching zombie movies without gore (yes, bizarre) this might not be something you'd want to spend your money on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the 'Live' ones.

Only recently got round to watching this and I thought it was excellent,so what if it feels like an overly long cut-scene,it's much better than the 3 live action films, and I actually like them!,technically not as impressive as say Advent Children it stays faithful to the source material which can meander a bit in the live action efforts,The ending of the second film was almost like Parasite Eve and I can't say I liked the way elements of Code:Veronica were shoehorned into it to 'look good' either, the third was much better, anyway I digress, this was very good even though I expected to be told to 'press start'any minute,oh and G is excellent!
