    These replacement joysticks work just like the originals.

    They can be a "Do It Yourself" project, but you should be equipped with several useful tools for desoldering connectors and cables, etc.

    It’s not difficult for someone experienced, but it’s not a simple task for the average person.

    My best advice is to watch a YouTube video on replacing PS5 controller joysticks, so you can understand the tools and effort required for the job.

    For me, it was fairly simple, and the replacement works perfectly. The joystick dead zone was impeccable after installation.

    Of course, the drift issue eventually returns after several months, but that’s the same problem with the originals. If you want to completely avoid drift, go for Hall Effect joysticks.

    Ceux-ci peuvent être un projet "faites-le vous-même", mais sachez que vous devez être équipé de plusieurs outils utiles pour dessouder des connecteurs, des câbles, etc.

    Ce n’est pas difficile pour quelqu’un qui s’y connaît, mais ce n’est pas une tâche simple pour monsieur et madame tout le monde.

    Mon meilleur conseil est d’aller voir une vidéo YouTube sur le remplacement des joysticks d’une manette PS5. Vous pourrez ainsi constater le matériel nécessaire et l’ampleur du travail.

    Pour moi, c’était plutôt simple, et le remplacement est très fonctionnel. Le point mort des joysticks était impeccable après l’installation.

    Évidemment, le problème de drift finit par revenir après plusieurs mois, mais c’est le même problème avec les originaux. Si vous ne voulez plus du tout de drift, optez pour des joysticks Hall Effect.

    All hardware received as detailed and shipped very quickly, thank you! Removed one of the sticks with drift and carefully replaced it with one of the new ones. It was an exact match. Reassembled the controller and tested perfect, no more drift!! Stick I used didn't need to be calibrated, worked on the first try. Added one of the protective collars to the thumb stick portion for grins. Not sure it will make a difference but it does feel good when moving the sticks around full travel, so that's nice. This job wasn't too hard but it does take a LOT of patients!!! Be gentle with the parts and be mindful of how you rest the board while working on it. It's better to clamp it in a vice with cardboard in between for protection or use a "3rd hand" device to hold it up off your work surface. Also recommend desoldering the 2 sets of vibration motors(4 wires) from the board first to make it easier to work on.
