I purchased a similar device over 2 years ago to deter squirrels from digging holes and burying nuts in planter boxes hung on the rails of my deck, which is about 20 feet above ground. It is effective most of the time, depending on the animal’s angle of approach. This solar-powered Mole, Rodent, Squirrel, and many more animals is an improvement over my current device, in that it can be set for particular animal groups. A sensitivity dial on the left front of the device will adjust the sensitivity of the Repeller when turned to the right, and will gradually increase the Repellers response as it is continually turned fully to the right. The Frequency Mode Adjustment dial on the right side of the Repeller turns the Repeller On or Off with its first Click. This dial has 5 modes, depending on the types of animals you would prefer to repel. The 5th mode is inclusive, in that it will include all previous 4 modes in a rotating sequence, and include various lights and sounds. Some of these sounds include barking dogs, and raptor screams. This mode would not be appreciated if you have nearby neighbours. I like the size and design of this Repeller. I like that it can charge up with sunlight, and also be quickly charged with the provided USB port on the bottom of the Repeller. The Repeller can be mounted on its stake and placed anywhere on the lawn or garden. It can also be hung via nail to a post or wall. However, it is too loud with its differing sounds to be tolerated by anyone close by. The Repeller might be effective if kept in the first and possibly second mode. After that, it is just too noisy for nearby humans, but likely more effective at getting rid of unwanted animals.     Bought it for our vegetable garden where the moles constantly come for free meals. This little thing is very easy to assemble and install, solar powered, requires zero effort on maintenance, which is exactly what we wanted. Too early to tell about the vegetables right now, but baby pine trees (were chewed off bark last spring, had to plant new ones)and tulips survive from being eaten by the animals, happy with the results so far, will wait and see the vegetables.
