    This gluconate version should be a chelate and therefore it is much more easily absorbed and with nearly 100% assimilation. The pills are small and flat like an aspirin but just a little larger. They have a coating making them tasteless, which is good as zinc is horrible otherwise.

    Of note, zinc competes with copper and will, over time, deplete it from the body. Therefore it would be wise to supplement with 2mg copper chelate daily with your zinc. I found this out the hard way in that without copper your red blood cells will not provide oxygen as they should normally and would show up as anemia.

    Overall, this is a good zinc supplement.

    I take these for heart health and these are nice because they are vegan, free of preservatives and GMOs and made in Canada. The dosage is more than my doctor recommends, so I split them in half and take 25mg daily. It's worth noting that the pills I received are not scored like in the picture.
    The Gluconate form of Zinc is my preferred type. These pills are easy to take and they don't have any negative side effects or upset my stomach at all. This bottle should last me for the entire year! Great value. Recommended.

    Zinc is a supplement that I take on a regular basis. At first I was a bit surprised at the cost, but it is a great price because it provides an 8 month supply! I love not having to reorder frequently. I appreciate the fact that these zinc supplements are non-GMO, gluten free, and are tested for heavy metals. The serving is one tablet pill, which aren't difficult to take. Since they are a tablet, you want to swallow it right away to prevent a bad taste. I like to take it with a little bit of food to prevent an upset stomach, which happens to me with all zinc supplements. Overall, a great value for an important supplement for immune health.

    I’ve been taking a zinc supplement for a while, so it’s not as if I expect to see any dramatic changes in how I feel. Rather, I look for a few things:

    Is the bottle securely sealed: yes, seal around the cap as well as under the cap

    Are the pills easy to swallow: yes, small round pills

    Stomach upset or other adverse reaction: no

    Do I know where the product is made: yes, made in Canada.

    This Renew Actives zinc supplement is great.
    Zinc plays a vital role in the body from healing tissue to building proteins, and supporting the immune system. And also healthy hair, skin, and nails too!

    It has no preservatives, hormones, fish, wheat, gluten, soy, etc.
    They are also vegan and free of GMOs.

    Very easy-to-swallow capsules. No after-taste and 250 counts for 8 months supply.

    This zinc is very useful for me and I highly recommend it.
