Directions

Rinse rice. Combine 1 cup of rice with 2-3 cups of water in a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until rice is creamy and liquid is absorbed.

Product description

Arborio rice is an Italian short-grain rice. It is named after the town of Arborio, in the Po Valley, which is situated in the main growing region. When cooked, the rounded grains are firm, and creamy and chewy compared to other rices, due to their higher amylopectin starch content. It has a starchy taste and blends well with other flavours. Arborio rice is often used to make risotto or is also usually used for rice pudding.
