More Information About XUDOAI Tub Tile Paint!

* 1. Before use, please browse the product information, such as the product detail page, video, product box instructions.
* 2. Single application: 3-4 ㎡ (32 to 43 sq. ft). If the item you are renovating only needs to be applied once, and the application area needs to use the entire kit. Pour Part B (curing agent) and Part C adhesion enhancer into the jar of Part A (refurbished paint), slowly stir for more than 60 seconds to ensure even mixing. It is recommended to use them up within 1 hour. If bubbles appear above, please eliminate or remove them in a timely manner.
* 3. Single application: 3-4 ㎡ (32 to 43 sq. ft). If the item you are renovating needs to be applied twice, and a single application requires the use of a complete bathtub renovation kit. Suggest purchasing 2 or more sets of bathtub renovation kits. According to the usage steps, please note that there should be a 24-hour interval between the two layers of application.
* 4. Double application: 1-2 ㎡ (10.7 to 21.5 sq. ft). If the item you are renovating needs to be applied twice, and the bathtub renovation kit meets the area for two applications. Find a suitable container and mix it according to the ratio of Part A: Part B: Part C=50:10:1. Slowly stir for more than 60 seconds to ensure even mixing. It is recommended to use it up within 1 hour. If bubbles appear above, please eliminate or remove them in a timely manner.
* 5. If divided into two parts according to proportion for use. The remaining part A, part B, and part C should be cleaned of any overflow marks from the bottle mouth and sealed with an inner lid. Store in a dry and dark environment, and apply a second layer after 24 hours. The evenly mixed portion needs to be used up within 1 hour.
* 6. Cannot be diluted with other products. Avoid contact with hydrochloric acid, galvanized steel or flexible plastic. Do not use abrasive and oxidizing cleaners on cured surfaces, and contact between sharp objects and surfaces is not recommended.
* 7. Any debris or residue will affect the adhesion effect as well as the leveling. Debris, bumps, rust, etc. can be cleaned off using a cleaner or sandpaper. Then rinse the surface with water and once dry, wipe the surface with a tack cloth to catch any remaining particles.
* 8. Whether you need to refinish or cover in color, you need to make sure the surface is somewhat rough to encourage the tub paint to penetrate. Using a tile surface preparation, acid cleaner or sandpaper to obtain good adhesion.
* 9. Use masking tape to protect hardware, drain openings or areas that do not need to be painted. Showerheads, etc. can be sealed with baggies. If you are concerned about spills or splatters during application, you can lay cardboard, plastic wrap, etc. on the floor. Paint thinner or isopropyl alcohol can be used to remove traces of residue.
* 10. Apply the coating in a uniform and overlapping manner. Avoid dipping too much at once to prevent sagging. Avoid excessive brushing or rolling to prevent stripes and accumulation marks. If necessary, use a brush to repair corners and edges.
* 11. Pay attention to the bottom and sides during mixing. If the material is not adequately mixed, in some areas the material will not harden and over time these areas may eventually yellow and flake off. In some areas, mixing with too much hardener results in the formation of small particles.
* 12. After the application is completed, dry naturally in the air flow environment for 24 hours, at this time you can contact with water. Wait for another 24 hours and then you can start to use it. Temperature, humidity will have a certain effect on the curing time and curing effect, to ensure that completely dry into a film before use.
* 13. Part A cans have extra space for mixing and stirring and relieving squeezing pressure, and part B cans have extra space for relieving squeezing pressure.

I wouldn’t even try it. I read reviews and hoped maybe it was just fluke experiences, but no - I had issues also. I spent 5 hours today prepping my tub and shower walls. I made sure everything was clean and good to go. I started with using the brush provided - big mistake. It leaves streak marks and bubbling. Turned to using the roller provided and it worked well in some spots but as it went over where the brush originally was used, the paint started clumping and peeling. Now I have spots all over with clumping and peeling. The gloves that come in the kit do nothing but stick to the roller handle also while using. My gloves actually tore mid process leading to me using 100% acetone to remove it from my skin as my hands started to stick to everything. The product smell didn’t seem back while using it but my god did it ever fill the house with fumes. I had windows open and fans going as I was using thinking that’d be enough but no - it’s bad. If you have children, avoid this for that sole reason because I’m pretty sure my entire household has a head high now! A headache for sure. The coverage isn’t awesome either and you have to work so quick because the product begins to clump dry in the container… Overall I’m super disappointed and am just waiting for my second order of it to arrive so I can return it. (I pre ordered 2 boxes incase I needed more)…. Now I don’t know what to do to fix this catastrophe Edit to add: I’ve edited my review solely based off the sellers feedback as well as willingness to refund. I appreciate the reach out and follow up

    There are a couple of problems.
    1. First do not just dump the paint into the tub then roll it into all the places. This will potentially cause pooling of the paint. If the paint pools up then it expands and becomes spongy. You can hardly see the pooling because of the high reflection of the paint. I did this and I had to remove the spongy spots sand it again and repaint using a new can of paint.
    2. If you are going to do a second coat it means you would have to buy a second kit. The kit says to wait 10 hours before putting on a second coat but the paint hardens before the 10 hours. There is a "walk around" if you can put the unused part of the paint in the refrigerator and keep it cool until you are going do the second coat. Just note that the second coat will harden up faster than the first coat if you have cooled it in the fridge.
    One other thing...the faster you roll it on the pebblier it gets so for a smooth surface roll it slowly but if you want slight pebble effect then roll it quickly.

    My shower was a boring gray tiles with random turquoise flower pattern.
    I was looking for a permanent solution to make it look brighter. Tiles ( adhesive) were not an option so after a search online I was able to find this idea of painting tiles.
    So I did. No regrets!!
    I had to use 3 kits as it was not covering enough of the pattern and the color, even though it was a light grey.
    Be aware that once kit covers just about 2 coats on 2 wall shower and one coat on 1 wall shower. So, so 2 kits is enough for 4 coats, depending on the color your shower was before. The first coat is easily scratchable so be careful; hense , several coats are necessary.
    Easy to apply...LET IT DRY . I waited a good week before I use my shower and let it cure. Be patient. The more you let it cure, the better it will dry.

    This product was clumpy after an hour. I had to buy two sets to paint one small tub tile surround. When I took the tape off the walls it pulled some of the paint off the tiles and now it’s missing large patches. After two coats it is still uneven and streaky. Don’t waste your time.

    I am very happy with result and this product. You will need 2 coats so just divide it up into another container and estimate half, it's really easy to mix. The paint is forgiving to work with but you will see drips if you don't blend them in right away, it's a very glossy bright white and perfect shine for a tub.
    So the paint part was easy for me because I did a really good prep job as any paint job you do, the prep is everything. I grinded and sanded the rust first and this stuff took to the tub so nicely, it's like a new tub now

    I was a bit nervous starting this kit after reading reviews on how quickly it dries! Turns out you have more than an hour. After the first coat, I was able to do a second coat. I should have only mixed half the kit to wait for the first coat to fully dry. I was worried that I wouldn’t have enough to do two coats.. but there is enough! The bathtub I did was just a small one but don’t worry, there’s enough to do two coats. Since I didn’t wait for the first coat to dry fully before applying the second coat I think it affected the finish a little, its a bit bumpy. But it’s a lot better than the rusty bottom of the old cream coloured bathtub.
    Great little kit to make an old bathtub look new!
    On a side note, it’s easy enough to scrape off tiles but be careful not to get any on a vinyl surface/floor.

    I was a bit nervous starting this kit after reading reviews on how quickly it dries! Turns out you have more than an hour. After the first coat, I was able to do a second coat. I should have only mixed half the kit to wait for the first coat to fully dry. I was worried that I wouldn’t have enough to do two coats.. but there is enough! The bathtub I did was just a small one but don’t worry, there’s enough to do two coats. Since I didn’t wait for the first coat to dry fully before applying the second coat I think it affected the finish a little, its a bit bumpy. But it’s a lot better than the rusty bottom of the old cream coloured bathtub.
    Great little kit to make an old bathtub look new!
    On a side note, it’s easy enough to scrape off tiles but be careful not to get any on a vinyl surface/floor.
