I was pleased to find this Red Heart yarn to be softer than some older Red Heart yarn I have in my stash. It worked up well but you really need to be consistent with tension to get the color transition in the right place. I ripped out the first square a few times before I got it right. I liked that the starting ends were sticking out of each of the three skeins. I did find an occasional color bleed from the blue onto the yellow but I don't think it will be noticeable in the finished project. I found the pattern on the inside of the label was very difficult to read so I simply made an enlarged copy of it on the printer.

This is a lovely idea, and the flower pattern is simple (I'd say early intermediate level, or if you're an adventurous beginner, you'll have a good time with it). It calls for a chain-4 in the center, which I thinks makes sense over magic loop because you have more control over the length of the tail.
As to the yarn: -The colors are true to the listing, which is what I expect from Red Heart. -The base is Red Heart Super Saver. So if you want to combine with other colors (for instance, slip stitching the squares together) you can do it without major issues. -I used a 6.5mm hook for the pattern, because my gauge is super tight. I've found that I can loosen my gauge a bit in the last few rounds, because the label says there should be about 24 inches of yarn left over and I had more on my first try.
