We use these packing peanuts as toys for our one cat who loves chasing them around: the tube-shaped peanuts are very lightweight so it gets easily swept across the floor by our cat and he loves that. I guess it could be unsafe for some cats, so we're not recommending you use this product as such and manufacturer obviously makes no mention of cats in their product description since it is NOT its original intended use. ^_^"

●it is indeed compostable and biodegradable; peanuts will naturally break down over time. *See video when in contact with water: they very, very lowly shrink down!
●dust-free and anti-static: yes, absolutely.
●these are the same packing peanuts an item I'd ordered came in and said item was intact, perfectly, safely stored in the pool of tube-shaped peanuts. (That's how we came to learn that one of our cats LOVES playing with packing peanuts).
●for our intended use of these, the quantity for its price was more than sufficient. See pictures to see what the box they came in looks like so you get a rough estimate of what "1 Cu Ft White Bio Tube Recycled Anti Static Packing Peanuts Popcorn Tube Shape Loose Fill" amounts to and looks like!
We do not have anything negative to say about these peanuts. Some other reviewers may have a different experience but our personal experience has met all of our expectations... and out cat's as well.
