I originally bought the Razer Huntsman Elite early December 2019, and have used this keyboard almost everyday since. The keycap quality is very high with no noticeably rubbed down keys and the sound you get from typing is so satisfying that sometimes I write run on sentences just to hear the keys keep clicking every time I push a button and have to fix a spelling error. In all seriousness, while the price was quite steep originally, I believe that it has made it well worth it. The wrist guard has only recently started pealing where my left wrist rests, but that isn't bad for 3.5 years of use.
The flaws:
- The Razer Synapse software is frustrating at times and seems more like an advertisement for Phillips Hue and their other products than an actual keyboard software.
- The volume control next to the media control. After a few years of use, the volume wheel had stopped being a smooth volume up/volume down and instead is almost uncontrollable. Every time I would scroll the wheel to turn my volume up, it would do small increments, then go down, then back up and so on. Forum recommendations are that it should get sprayed with a plastic safe contact solution to clear the connection. Just so you are aware.
Overall, like I mentioned, this has been my main keyboard for quite a few years and I would recommend this one to anyone who is willing to splurge knowing that this keyboard might be in their life for a long time!
