5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic gaming keyboard! Beautiful RGB lighting! One possible caveat but I am hopeful!
This arrived in a very colorful and descriptive Razer box. It has pictures of the keyboard and descriptions of many of it's features and specs. Inside was the keyboard, a magnetic detachable wrist rest, a detachable USB A to USB C cable, a combo key cap, key switch puller, a small manual, and some nice Razer stickers.
I am doing this in pros and cons so it is easier to follow. First the pros:
1) The "Phantom Green" translucent plastic looks gorgeous! I always like black with RGB and I was not sure I would like this, but I love it! It just looks so cool, it reminds me of what fun gaming peripherals should be.
2) The overall build quality is excellent.
3) The key switches feel great. They have a nice sound that is not too loud. It is very satisfying to type on this keyboard.
4) The RGB is awesome! It looks about as bright, vibrant, and perfect as RGB can look. My older eyes can clearly see the characters on the key caps when the keyboard is on and lit up. In fact, I am typing this review on this keyboard now without issue.
5) I already had Razer Synapse software installed (Windows 11 system), and it saw this keyboard right away. One reboot and it is all running great.
6) Media keys and volume wheel, perfect!
7) The softest, most comfortable wrist rest ever!
8) Rubber pads on the bottom to keep your keyboard in place on your desk, even on the bottom of the height adjustments.
Cons:
1) There is only one, and it is the caveat I mentioned in the title. This uses Razer orange switches which are Gen 3. They are awesome to type and game on, I like them, but I have had Razer orange switches on BlackWidow V4's in the past (not Gen 3 switches AFAIK) that developed double typing issues that were pretty bad. I have still not found a solution, other than now maybe replacing the switches with these newer Gen 3 ones. These Gen 3 switches are working perfectly in this keyboard, no double typing at all. I am hoping with these updated key switches that Razer has solved the double typing issue, because if they have fixed it then it becomes the perfect gaming keyboard!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great keyboard with annoying software
Very close to 5 stars, and also close to 2 stars all down to the software. Pros first. I have used razer mice and other products before and have always found them to be good quality. This keyboard is overall great. I really like sound and feel of the keys. The multimedia keys are also nice. While the volume roller is a bit different than a knob, I was used to it after a day of use. I did think that the dedicated media key for pausing video was a bit much as you can just mute.... but I use it very often now. It has worked with every streaming platform I have tried and always stops and starts with a press while windows are in the foreground or background. The included wrist rest is soft. I am used to a bit harder rest but this does its job and changing keyboards did not require any changes in my posture or use. The rest is attached with magnets but will not come off until you want it to. No moving around in use. With 2 levels of bottom feet it does great at being just where I needed it.
The software gives plenty of options for customizing down to individual keys and effects for single keys and I was able to make a fairly unique lighting setup. But with it comes multiple needed downloads and updates just to get to the point where you can setup a new scheme. The software works most of the time, but failed enough to cause headaches. My unique use as I work from home is a single keyboard with a kvm between computers. After a week of tech support it came down to "we dont support kvms". Tech support tried, many times, but the reliance on the software nearly killed this keyboard for me as all rgb would stop working when I switched and had to unplug it to get it working again. I spoke with someone else that has the same keyboard and they never bothered to install the software and experienced no issues. I did eventually resolve the issue by getting a 12v kmv.
Bottom line: There is a lot to like about this keyboard and I really like the colors and look of it, the software is cool when it works and does not get in the way

5.0 out of 5 stars Razer BlackWidow V4 75% Phantom Green Magnetic Wrist Rest, Softer Acoustics, and the Media Control
The jump from my BlackWidow V3 Mini Hyperspeed (65 %) to the V4 75 % is immediately noticeable. The extra row and arrow/navigation cluster give me full‑size functionality while still keeping desk real‑estate lean. Build quality feels tank‑solid, and the new translucent “Phantom Green” chassis lets the Chroma RGB really glow. The picture included is the "fire" theme, and it really lights it up.
Razer added a magnetic plush wrist rest that are memory‑foam soft, snaps on with a satisfying thunk, and stays locked even when I slide the board around. After hours of typing my wrists feel fresher than with any clip‑on or slid in place pad I’ve tried.
Typing sound and feel are very different. Between the Gen‑3 tactile switches, gasket mount, and layers of sound‑dampening foam, the board trades the V3’s sharp “click‑clack” for a lower‑pitched “thud‑click” that’s still tactile but far less piercing and actually perfect for my dim, quiet office. The keycaps themselves have a smoother, softer, lightly‑cupped surface that feels much softer than the slightly textured caps on my V3 Mini.
Visibility is better too: the per‑key shine‑through legends stand out against the dark Phantom chassis, so finding keys in low light is no longer a hunt. The 75 % layout also brings back a real Delete, Page Up/Down, and F‑row and so no more layered shortcuts for simple tasks.
My favorite quality‑of‑life upgrade is the multi‑function volume roller and dedicated mute key. Physical media controls beat software overlays every time, and the textured aluminum roller has just the right resistance. Under the hood you still get enthusiast touches: hot‑swappable sockets, pre‑lubed stabilizers, poron gaskets, and an 8 000 Hz polling rate for ultra‑low latency in games.
It’s wired‑only, but that also means zero battery fuss and maximum performance.
Bottom line: the BlackWidow V4 75% upgrades are sound, comfort, media controls, all while adding hot‑swap flexibility and a great magnetic wrist rest. While I still love my V3, this cuts the edge just enough to replace it on my main computer. If you want a compact board that feels premium, sounds refined, and still gives you full‑size conveniences, this is the upgrade to grab.

4.0 out of 5 stars A bit pricy, but a great board
While the price point is a bit high for a wired plastic keyboard, this is definitely a very high quality gamer-focused choice that is accessorized well, and comes with access to a whole suite of various software. Razer's orange tactiles feel quite nice to type on, and have reasonably low wobble. The keycaps feel nice to type on and are quite legible with RGB on, but definitely contribute to a clacky sound overall, though good materials keep it from sounding cheap. The included wrist rest feels nice, and secures in place via magnets. Overall aesthetic is very 2000s, taking a shade of translucent green that instantly brings back memories of huddling around a TV playing the latest version of a certain space soldier game, drinking equally green soda until the inevitable crash. Very well executed in that regard. My one major gripe though: No wireless capability on this, especially with the price tag attached, feels like a bizarre choice. The space is definitely there in the case.
Other than that though, solid addition to the collection and I'd recommend it if you're looking to splurge a little.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pricey but retro cool
This is your classic Razer Black Widow that you've read and seen, but with a twist. The keycaps and the base is now all a see through, frost green plastic instead of the the traditional opaque black. It feels like a throw back to the olden days where they made see through computers and game consoles. It's looks pretty cool, if you want to really see the LEDs.
The base has a back laser etched "for gamers" motto. The USB c port is recessed which could be a problem for thicker USB c cables. The keyboard has a very unique volume knob, a mute button and a play button. Love the ability to change the volume with the knob. The base also has feet to adjust the typing angle.
The whole package comes with they keyboard, a wrist rest, USB c cable, a 2in1 keycaps and switch puller, and a cloth bag for the keyboard.
The keyboard sound sounds like your traditional gaming keyboard. It doesn't sound super creamy or thocky, but you can definitely change of the switches and keycaps and add mods. The typing experience isn't bad, but can be improved with better sound. Great for gaming, the keyboard is responsive.
The software, is good especially if you already have other reader devices. It lets you configure all kinds of things about the keyboard including profiles, LED settings and macros. It worked like a charm on windows 10.
Overall, cool gaming keyboard, made kind of unique with the see through green.
