Missing nozzles

I purchased this pack of 4 heads about a year ago. Just got to installing my system last week only to find that the pre-installed nozzles were a bit too large for the available pressure. The heads are designed to spray between 19 and 50' but with only one nozzle provided (3.0) the radius depends entirely on your flow and pressure. I found replacement nozzles ranging from $26 for one pack (only good for one head) to $50 for a 10-pack plus shipping. See photo. This is a nothing piece of plastic that would cost a fraction of a penny to produce. They're supposed to be shipped with each head. The different sized nozzles are the key to controlling the spray radius. The adjustment screw allows you to shorten the throw by up to 25%, but the nozzles help you extend your radius using a finer spray. Luckily, I was able to source replacement nozzles from my local plumbing wholesaler free of charge. Make sure you order the heads WITH the additional nozzle packs or you're rolling the dice.

    These are great heads - easy to install and adjust and great range as well. Rain "curtain" is better than most I've tried where distance sacrifices radial coverage. Can't speak to longevity as I've only had them in the group 1/2 a season. I'll let you know if they don't survive the coming winter freezes.

    Bought these to replace some 16 year-old Rain Bird sprinkler heads that had stopped rotating. They are an exact match. If you buy them, make sure you also get the special Rain Bird screwdriver (about another 14 bucks) that you need to install the nozzle and adjust the spray pattern. Since I couldn't unscrew the whole sprinkler body from the underground connection, I ended up just swapping out the internals (instructions are on YouTube) and that worked fine. They come with multiple nozzles, so I was able to take the opportunity to improve the coverage in one section by using a different nozzle from the one in the original unit.
