    This was so much fun to build and it didn’t take long. The tabs and slots fit well, no sanding and I didn’t have to use a drop of glue. The directions were good and all the pieces were there. I did find it easier to add one thing, when making the fish. The metal wire and loop that goes in the fishes mouth, the loop wouldn’t pry open to go through the hole in the boat. I tired pliers, One tough wire. I took a link from a necklace chain and used it as a connector, worked well, isn’t even noticeable. The adjustments to make it run smooth are easy and it’s very cute when it is in motion. I liked it so much I bought the airplane and can’t wait for it to get here.

    This is a fantastic kit! As a ROKR/UGears veteran this was a relatively straightforward and easy kit to put together. It not only looks beautiful but functions well too! The boat rocks, the man rows... Gorgeous, just gorgeous. I bought it as a gift for my father who likes to fish, but I also bout one for myself too. It took about 4 relaxed hours to assemble and there were a couple tricky spots, but if you pay attention and use gentle pressure when needed, you should be okay. There are also several extra pieces just in case a couple break, but none of mine did. I wouldn't recommend this as your first foray into ROKR sets, but it would definitely be good for folks who've had a bit of experience building.

    This Rokr Fishing Boat was incredible to put together! I had so much fun! The details in everything and I mean everything are so impressive. There's a bucket of fish, it cracked me up when I saw it, I went to everyone in the house to show them. Then there would be something else just as cute, and I'd go show everyone. Then I stopped, that was unil about the final piece, the fish on the hook, oh my goodness! Oh my goodness, the way they carved him out and created a way to hang him was brilliant! The paint and feel of each piece is great. I didn't worry about getting a splinter. Oh, the pieces, they did a great job at numbering the pieces and the boards. The pieces popped out easily with no chipping off. There is even color throughout. The directions were absolutely fantastic. Step by step and very easy to follow. The way his legs and arms move is great. There are so many pieces with wonderful detail and thought. I did break one of the little connection pieces for an oar, but it's holding on with the broken piece in place. The weights and counter weight, the ball; ingenious, absolutely ingenious. Swings with ease and hasn't fallen over. It's not always centered when it's swong, but it still doesn't fall over. Rokr put the fun in toy functionality. I like the compass, I was thrilled when I assembled a gear compass and a working drawer! My kids were thoroughly impressed that I built the Rokr Fishing Boat on my own, hey guys, I am after a crafter! I enjoy a challenge, and I challenged myself to complete this for the handsome fishermen in my life. I really was intemidated at first, looking at all the details and pieces. But, everything about it: The boards, the pieces, the extra pieces, the instructions; all helped to encourage me along the way. Then when I got in the groove, I soared and impressed myself and family. Thank you Rokr for offering this fishing boat, and encouraging a crafter, a new found crafter of 3D wooden model kits!     ROKR always delivers a quality product and this one was no exception.
    This Gravity Swing project is affordable and would make a great gift for an Adult or a STEM project for any teen 13 and up. The younger teens might need a little help with the more fragile pieces.
    This took me just under 3 hours, and was a fun and relaxing project with a satisfying result.
    No fussing, and I didn't need a drop of glue until I broke a small piece (and then the extra replacement for the same piece) towards the end.
    Hint #1 Be very careful attaching parts E1 (last page) to the boat. These are the parts that attach the rowing paddle swing through to the boat. Press one E1 piece at a time and Only over the Tab That Attaches To The Side Of The Boat . Be sure the hook that goes over the side of the boat is in place first. You will have to tilt the fisherman back out of the way. They give you two extras but these pieces are fragile, and as I said I broke 3 of them, and had to glue the last together to use it when I finally figured out how to finesse this step.
    #2 There is a small tool on Board "D" don't miss it and don't lose it.
    This would make a great Father's Day gift for the miniature enthusiast, someone who might like to try miniatures (this one would be a great beginner project for an adult or teen) , or anybody who likes fishing (the kit or just the final build a a gift).
    The draw has a "compass" in it, but you could further personalize with a tiny folded note or a piece of inspirational jewelry such as one of those compass necklaces.

    I wasn’t able to finish it, unfortunately. Everything was going smoothly until the very end, two pieces, along with their extras, completely fell apart when I tried to remove them. That said, I’m still giving this a solid 4 stars because the rest of the experience was genuinely enjoyable. The assembly process was fun and satisfying, and based on other reviews, it seems like my issue was probably a one-off. I’d still recommend this product overall. The finished piece on the box looks fantastic and definitely made me want to see it completed!
