The tool worked fine for awhile, but the welds soon crack and it came apart. So YES it does work, but it really isn't for use in a shop setting, where is gets used on a regular basis.
Use it daily. Removed rusty wheel bearing on 2008 Silverado no problem . A must have tool if you work in winter climates where they use salt on the roads .
I have a 2014 Chevy Equinox that needed the front bearings replaced. I'm fairly handy and like many before me, once you get the estimate shock you watch a few videos and think... I can do that! After spending over 13 hours across two days and failing miserably at getting the first bearing assembly off I thought I had bit off too much. Frustrated and defeated I did some searching and found a video of someone using this type of tool. There are many but I chose this one mainly based on price and reviews. After receiving this it took just 5 hits to get the first bearing assembly off. After all the time I spent trying it felt so good to beat the poo out of this tool and be victorious. It took 12 hits to get the other off. The top strike plate did take slight damage but no other issues. The nuts provided fit and held firm. Do yourself a favor and if you are doing bearing assembly replacement just get one of these. Of note, in removing the assemblies I did break off the ABS sensors so be wary there may be things in there that can be damaged as you violently remove the assembly.

2019 Subaru Outback rear wheel bearing. I beat the living daylights out of the thing for a couple of hours with a 8lb sledge and then a 16lb’er, and was only able to move the bearing about 1/16 inch out of the knuckle. It wouldn’t go any further. I gave up, and will take the knuckle to a machine shop. I just hope I didn’t damage anything in the process. Like others have mentioned the washers are way too soft, and the nuts fit too loosely, so I went to the hardware store and got better nuts and washers. I can see how it might work in some cases, so I give it 3, but for me it didn’t work.
Update: I decided to give it one more try, and I did manage to get the bearing out by using 2 cold chisels, one on either side of the bearing from the back behind the dust shield. I was able to just barely get the chisels in between the bearing and the knuckle and drove them straight down on either side, and eventually they drove through, hitting one side then the other, and it popped right off. I’m updating my review to 4 stars, because I don’t think I’d have ever gotten the chisels started without that 1/16 in gap I got using the tool, so in the end it did work for me. I still can’t give a 5 because of the soft hardware.

Did not work for us, we tried this one first then went to a more traditional bearing pulled and the other worked perfectly. I’m sure there is a place for this on some bearings but not effective on a Subaru wheel bearing.

This is, hands down, the easiest way to remove stubborn wheel bearings! This model included nuts and washers, but none of the nuts fit my particular application. So, I flipped a couple lug nut around and secured the tool with the flat side of the nuts "in."
Be sure to use flat & lock washers. Only hit on the proper side of the tool, no need to alternate blows to both sides of the 'arm." I used an 8 lb. sledge hammer, and after 3 blows, both sides broke free. Also, remember to remove your wheel speed sensor (if equipped) and tuck it out of the way to avoid damage.
