The hardware is good. Not great. To play so many retro systems, you really have to cram in a lot into that little system. D-pad, 4 face buttons, 2 analog sticks, 3 centre buttons, and 4 triggers. All work pretty well. I was having some issues with the D-pad sticking, but it resolved itself. See attached video. The power button is really annoying to use. It's too flush to the system. For the software, it also works pretty well, but with some hiccups. Game selection all works great. Read the manual for all the shortcuts to the menus though. Select+X usually gets you to the system menu while playing the game. Saving is overly complicated. All these games have save slots, but you need to choose the save slot FIRST, then go save. I'm sure someone will be saving over a slot they didn't want to overwrite any day now. I had issues with getting to the main system while playing PSP games. Not sure why, but hitting Select+X was not working. All the actual games I tried worked great. But there are so many games to try, you'll never play them all. DS games may not be viable though. Yes, you get options of how to layout the double screens. But the right stick is used for the cursor, but that's just a terrible way to play. So many other systems worked great though. Pro-tip: duplicate the Micro-SD card onto your own. The cards have bad failure rates, and I've been moving the cards from this payment.
Currently on sale for $49.99. Which is weird. When I ordered it, it was for $120. I have no idea what happened from the time I ordered, to now. But at this price, it's definitely worth it. So many games to try out. If it's my original price, then I would say it's a good buy, but some of the issues may be too annoying for you.
