    These are my favorite storage boxes. Multi-layered cardboard provides rugged, long-term storage for paper records and other items needing preservation. Think decades. I literally have banker's boxes that are more than 40 years old and still going strong. Easy fold-out assembly. They stack well and have a traditional look. There are lots of other styles and providers of storage boxes, but I think these are the best. Recyclable. Non-toxic. No micro-plastic debris in the environment. Old-school for sure, but that is why they are so cool.

    These incredibly sturdy boxes have held up well to repeated use in lugging books to and from book fairs. We've tried a variety of other boxes, including the less well rated bankers boxes, and nothing holds up to the weight and use better than these! They stack well and have reinforced handles, sides, and bottoms. Where other boxes bend and bow, these maintain their shape and do not appear used even after multiple (and heavy) usage. A single broken box could cost our business thousands, and it is particularly important that we use boxes that can stand up to heavy use. These fit the bill perfectly, and have more than made up for their extra cost as they can be used again and again (the "economy" banker's boxes had to be replaced after just two uses, as most of them had torn handles and their bottoms were giving out).

    Decided to opt for the more expensive style and am glad I did. The edges are rolled over. Here is a way to make these boxes nearly indestructible. I have a shop so this is easy for me, but worth the effort for anyone. I opened the boxes and lids, set up some boards on sawhorses and Varathaned all twelve, inside and out. Although I used a oiled based polyurethane coating, there is a very good water based Varathane which is much easier to clean up. There is some down side of coating the boxes. First, you will never be able to collapse them so if you are thinking of doing that, forget coating them. Second, the lid is a little tighter after they have been coated.
