It’s installed and working, but...
The kit includes three fittings that convert the unit’s threaded 1/2” NPT male fittings into 1/2” NPT male fittings, which makes no sense, and, costs the company money to include.
But to be used in many American households, the customer (or plumber) needs a 3/8” compression thread to 1/2” NPT fitting. And since anything but 3/8” female to 1/2” male is extremely difficult to find, the customer must also buy a 1/2” female coupling to connect the fitting to the unit. So, it’s cost me nearly an extra $10 just to make the device installable. And, having no use for them, I tossed the 3 useless fittings they supplied.
Had their engineers any brains, they would have included one fitting that was 1/2" female NPT at one and 3/8” compression thread, with a washer, at the other—plus a second one that’s female 1/2” NPT on one end, and the other, female NPT with a shelf and washer to easily mate with a standard 1/2” sink turn-off valve. (or better yet, make which is included selectable, to reduce waste and save the company money.
That would make the product a LOT more desirable.
