- Reviewed in Canada on June 20, 2025Verified PurchaseGreat tool. Made quick and easy work to lap valves absolutely worth it
- Reviewed in Canada on June 22, 2025Verified PurchaseDO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE! I used it for the first valve and wasn't able to finish because the lapping tool stopped oscillating! I immediately called 鶹 for a complete refund. 鶹 should not be selling this product. The company manufacturing this lapping tool should be ashamed for producing such an inferior tool! Do not buy!!
- Reviewed in Canada on April 7, 2025Verified PurchaseSturdy product. Five different sizes of suction cups for different valve sizes. We used two. Valves can be lifted through these cups, which is the most important thing = if it will lift, it will also turn the valve, the reason for the tool to make valve grinder a lot easier. Used it already on two different engines, four valves. We will need it again and again.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 10, 2025Verified PurchaseOnly the two smaller rubber suction cups were of any use to me for use in small engines. No idea where you would use the largest one. The cups do NOT stick to the valve very well and thus makes it very difficult to use constantly trying to centre it. The oscillating mechanism does what it is supposed to, but with the cups sliding all over the place it is a slow and difficult process. You get what you pay for I guess. Somewhat disappointed. I will buy the wooden stick version next time.
- Reviewed in Canada on August 9, 2024Verified PurchaseReading other reviews saying it melted or wore out before the job was done,I dismantled it. The screws are behind the paper cover in the hex side of the shaft. The part is plastic so I lubricated the inner works with oil and reassembled. Worked perfect and is still going strong. I found if you run it as the specified speed , it was hard to control so I ran it on low speed with my battery drill . That is around 450 rpm and had allot more control. Also make sure valves and suction cups are really clean. I installed the valve stem in the drill and as it turned, I polished the valve face with sand paper to make sure all the buildup was removed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Valve lap tool-slow steady speed
Verified PurchaseWhy did you pick this product vs others?:
Great tool to lap w/ slow speed drill. Use drill on very slow speed in both directions; listen for sound of valve compound grinding, reapply 5-10 times. Using Drill on fast only creates more groves, gouges then necessary to seal valves correctly, which leaks after vacuum and liquid test w/bubbles.

1.0 out of 5 stars I guess it's a junk product now
Verified PurchaseQuit working before 1st valve was lapped in. Must be something has changed on the last 2 years cause my last one has worked for 5 engines and this one looks just like my other one but different in the quality build now for sure. Would pass on this one if I was you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never hand lap again
Verified PurchaseHaving never lapped valves this tool made it fast eazy and consistent work would recommend
01 Jeep xj i6 all new intake and exhaust valves lapped all 12 new valve seals old sprigs and keepers
All cylinders now have 150 to 160 psi runs well for the 50 miles on it

3.0 out of 5 stars Product was just okay
Verified PurchaseI had to lap my new valves. The smallest suction cup didn’t quite want to hold the valve properly. I had to just make it work because that one was the only one that fit my exhaust valves. Other than that it worked great.
