I've been using this for a couple of months now & I'm not sure that it's chalked up to every claim that I've been hearing all the hype on out there, but... I bought this to try on my lashes, firm my facial skin, tighten the skin on my thighs & flaten my tummy, & here's what I'm noticing...
My lashes are longer & fuller! & interestingly, my chronic dry eyes don't seem to be as dry... for many years I've used eyedrops as part of my skincare routine both morning & night, & now I'm not reaching for my eye drops nearly as consistently. Warning, using this on your eyes can & will make your vision slightly cloudy, not in a huge way. But if I'm getting ready for bed & not going directly to sleep (reading specifically, or staying up to do anything else) I will wait to put this on when I am ready to go to sleep. Not a biggie, but it took me a bit to figure this out. It doesn't sting or hurt or feel uncomfortable, but I was having troubles seeing with as much clarity.
With the face, I have to be careful, because I do have an oiler skin tone & at first I was getting breakouts in my acne prone areas, so I started using the castor oil as my last step, at night only, so that it wasn't being transferred around my entire face with each product I put on top of the castor oil & I prefer using it this way. I use it around my eyes, forehead, temples, on my neck & laugh lines. My skin is looking really healthy, supple & firmer. I think my hyperpigmentation is slightly less noticeable as well, & some of the fine lines that were becoming noticeable on my face, like my laugh lines, are certainly softening I think. I didn't think about it, but before & after pics would've been a good idea. I will continue using every night.
My legs, well I'm not too sure if there's much of a difference, but tbh I'm not using as often/consistent as I am on my face, so I'll give it a bit more time & see. Same goes for my tummy, I haven't noticed this flattening my tummy, or any of the claims that are all the hype right now in that way, but in all fairness, I haven't been as consistent as I could be with using this every day on my body.
Bonus... every night when I'm putting the castor oil on my face I rub the excess on my cuticles & the backs of my hands. My cuticles aren't getting hang nails & I swear the skin on my hands is looking firmer & younger.
For me its WAY easier to use this from a dropper bottle, luckily I have a glass dropper bottle that was empty from another product I purchased, so I refill the castor into it... I definitely recommend that!! A little goes a long way. I've used less than a quarter of the bottle so far, good value for good quality skincare.
