Siemens plug in circuit breakers are intended for use in Siemens EQ, Siemens Ultimate, ITE, and Gould load centers or meter combinations. The double pole Siemens breakers may be used in 1 or 3-phase load centers and are 240V rated. To ensure the warranty on a Siemens panel is not voided, the use of Siemens breakers is required. Siemens strongly recommends against the use of "used" breakers. The installation of used breakers in a Siemens panel will void the warranty on the panel. Siemens does not sell used breakers and has not approved any 3rd party sellers to do so.

Bought this Q220 20-Amp Double Pole Type QP Circuit Breaker for a 4 wire branch circuit protection in our kitchen. One leg to a Sharp drawer type microwave, the other to a counter top coffee maker. The microwave tripped this breaker randomly, very frustrating! I have an extensive electrical/electronic background and tried everything possible. Swapped the lines, installed all 3 microswitches inside the microwave, even added a nice RF filter. The most frustrating thing was the randomness of the tripping. Sometimes immediate, sometimes seconds or minutes, sometimes days apart with plenty of use.

BTW, the circuit is only 20' of 10/4 copper wire. I even tried wiring through a temp external romex and position in the panel The breaker has a mind of its own and appears there is no way to reprogram them!!!

We have 3 15amp of the same in two different panels which work perfectly on even longer split branch circuits that have never tripped on their own. It has something to do with the way our Sharp microwave with works perfectly fine with the standard dual 20A breaker which I reverted to.

Also wired an existing Q220 15-Amp Double Pole Type QP Circuit Breaker which also trips intermittently from the Sharp microwave. Removing the GFCI outlet also had no effect.

These electronic breakers have micro computers inside monitoring for "programmed" anomalies. My guess is that the breaker can't monitor for all anomalies simultaneously so it sometimes takes a while to match something in the Sharp microwave.

Purchase this expensive breaker at your own risk! I spent a month troubleshooting with oscilloscope, thermal imager and various other test gear to no avail, only to wind up with the original standard breaker.
