4.0 out of 5 stars Works Ok
I expected to have the brush to use steam clean. Instead it steams when it hits a hot grill because it has water on it. The water tray is a nice option. It would be better with more cloths because they stay dirty even after washing. It's pretty easy to use, but be care of the pressure you use to clean with so you don't snap the handle. I'm not sure how durable the handle will be long term and the cloth will go quickly. Overall, a good value for the money. You can definitely get a few uses out of it before it goes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Effective Grill Cleaner for a Members Mark Pro Griddle
I recently purchased the Q-Swiper XL Clean BBQ Grill Cleaner for my Members Mark 36” Griddle, and I'm thoroughly impressed. The steam cleaning action is highly effective, effortlessly tackling tough grime and residue. I appreciate that two steam cloths are included, ensuring I have everything I need for thorough cleanups before and after each cook. This cleaner has made maintaining my griddle a breeze, saving me time and effort. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient and convenient grill cleaning solution.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clean With Steam
For those of you into grills, most know that the "hottest" fad on the grate cleaning front is the use of steam to clean your grill grates. Many are selling a kevlar-cloth coated firm sponge that gets mounted on a handle, dipped into water and then run over a 400 degree grill grate. I did review one of those systems last year and found that although they did work on the top surface of the grill grate (could not clean the sides of the grates without burning the plastic housing), throwing the replaceable and reusable sponge into the dishwasher as recommended resulted in a water logged sponge that took days to dry out and reuse. So now, we have Q-Swiper XL. Lets do a deep dive.
The concept is the same. Create steam by placing a fire resistant cloth on a handle, dip in water and use over a hot grill grate. This product is made and shipped from Canada although the 2 kevlar included cloths are made in Pakistan, passed through China before finding its way to Canada. The cloth in this system is wrapped around a rectangular, coarse, nylon appearing scouring pad that is attached to a plastic handle that has a scraper on the top. As far as instructions on how to attach the cloth to the pad or use the entire system...there are none (which is the reason for a star deduction). I have attached 2 photos on how to attach the cloth. Place the rectangular cloth with the long side perpendicular to the scouring pad on a table, wrap the cloth over the pad and then push the cloth into the 4 orange ports on the top of the handle. It actually does hold the cloth in place. There is also included a rectangular plastic container which you will put water into which is used to soak the cloth-attached scraper with the required water, a nice touch. Heat your grill grates to at least 350 degrees.....don't go over 400 degrees as the cloth is only fire resistant. TURN OFF THE GRILL BEFORE USING THE SYSTEM. Scrape the grates with the scraper first to get most of the hard baked-on material off the top and sides of the grate, otherwise the longevity of the cloth will be shortened considerably. Once you've scraped it clean, dip the cloth attached to the scraper into the water and wipe your hot grill grates. It actually does work in getting off mild surface stuff, but if you start pressing hard against the grates or if you have baked on crud "rough spots", the cloth will fray. The cloth becomes dirty in a hurry. They recommend throwing the cloth in the dishwasher after use. Have you ever thrown a cloth in the dishwasher? Neither have I... but be aware, it still looks dirty after doing that. They state the cloth will last at least 20 times....I tend to doubt that. I will say, though, ergonomically, the handle does feel good in your hand and the plastic part of the handle does not touch the grill grates even when scraping the sides of the grates.
Overall, this system is a "better mousetrap" in design from others I have seen, but let it be known that you still will need to scrape your grill first before using the "steam".
