    This remastered and redone release of the now classic Pulse live concert from the last major tour of David Gilmour's version of Pink Floyd! The band was touring on the strength of a very fine album The Division Bell plus celebrating the 25th anniversary of a milestone in playing The Dark side of the moon in its entirely! Plus with this new release are many behind the scenes videos and even though it is presented in Blu ray format it was done in the 4K standard now set so it makes you wonder why this wasn't released in that format? But it's still a great package one that will be appreciated by the fans!

    I have owned the original VHS as well as the DVD version of this video and while they were great for their time, the graininess of the picture made it less enjoyable to watch due to the current standards being raised by 1080p, 4K, etc. However this restoration is amazing and only during crowd shots can you even tell this is from almost 30 years ago! Excellent job and now one of my favorite concert videos is a treat to view again!

    I think they really overdid the packaging.
    To start off with, they including the pulse light on the spine of the packaging. [Two cheapo batteries are include. Pull out the black card in the case, pull out the metal piece from the black card, pull out the piece of plastic and put things back the way they were.]
    There release is in 4:3 screen ratio.
    The 2005 release in DVD only, interestingly, contained some extra content that was not included in this release. So if you are replacing the 2005 release, you may want to keep it.
    In addition, both say they are "restored" and "re-edited". Again?
    I would guess there is some limitation of the original footage as while the footage is good, it doesn't seem crystal clear in some cases.
    There is also a book included but most pages are just pictures with just a few pages of technical information.

Both the sound and picture quality are flawless, and it's very satisfying to see the show again, after attending the actual concert back in '94. Well worth both the wait and the investment! Now - if we can only get the same for the 1980 Wall concerts!
