    The game takes some learning as it mimics a real life course feel. Once you master the tempo and putting mechanics, this game is very fun and offers a great career mode!

    Where the game falls short is the character creation. They don't offer you many options to create a character that looks like you and the pronoun option in that mode is useless as the announcers always use "they" to refer to your golfer.

    I also wish there were sponsorship deals to reward good play and golf gear awards such as clubs and clothing for leveling up. The game also offers a limited store to buy your gear and it changes every day, so if you see a shirt you want and can't afford it, there is a possibility it's gone the next day.

    The game also doesn't offer a very good tutorial mode or driving range like 2k23, so learning how to approach certain shots takes time to learn what works and what doesn't.

    This wouldn't be an EA game without micro-transactions, so there are those and the game uses the "season" format where you get crap for free and need to pay to get the good gear.

    Over all if gameplay and good graphics is what you want, then you will enjoy this game, but remember it takes some getting use to, and even easy mode can be challenging, so don't expect to be winning every tournament.

    To play career mode you need to access the EA servers.
    Not the easiest of tasks. I spent the better part of a week on their server/ website trying to contact someone to help
    Got an email saying that someone would reach out to me within 48-72 hours .
    It was almost three weeks
    They sent me an email saying it should be fixed and to be patient
    I had 24 hours before my return window on Â鶹Çø closed
    You see if you use their servers it costs them money so it is in their best interest to stall and they have your money for the game purchase after your return window closes
    Not sure whether the issue was fixed
    I returned the game

    Honest Review - Going to start off by acknowledging that this game is NOT Perfect. It is hard. It is difficult. It is frustrating. But I will say, I love every second of it.

    If you want to mindlessly shoot -20 on every course, this isn't the game for you. If you want a detailed Career mode where the courses are stupidly realistic and the gameplay is intricate, like the real game of golf, this game's for you. You have to really think about every shot, every approach, the wind, the elevation. It's like playing a game of 3D chess to get to the hole.

    Apart from the detailed courses, the best part of this game is the customization. I can¡¯t stand the swing stick mechanic, so I changed to the 3-click swing. I also took the grids off the greens that show the breaks and try to read the greens myself. It¡¯s extra satisfying when you hit a long put without the assistance of the grids. It¡¯s also heartbreaking on the short puts when you think the ball¡¯s going one way, but of course it¡¯s going the other way.

    Kind of annoyed that you need an online EA Account to get to Career mode. That's pretty stupid. But once you get by that hurdle and start playing the Majors and The Masters, you really start to appreciate this game for what it is: an honest stab at simulating the real game of golf.
